LANGKAT, SUMUT – A total of 22 children in Telaga Said Village, Sei Lepan District, Langkat Regency, received Aid in the form of school shoes from Dompet Dhuafa Thursday (29/9/2022). The distribution of this Aid is the second time carried out after previously, Sembako Aid was given to residents affected by the fire disaster in Langkat.
Sulaiman, the Branch Leader of Dompet Dhuafa Waspada, said that this Act was initiated because DD Waspada received a report that children affected by the fire lost their school supplies.
“Yesterday, after the distribution of Sembako Aid there, we got the information that the children had no school supplies anymore. So, we also took part in providing new shoes for them,” said Sulaiman.
Not moving alone, Sulaiman also said that other institutions provided school supplies assistance under the auspices of FOZ. In more detail, he explained that in addition to Dompet Dhuafa Waspada assisting in the form of shoes and socks, Human Initiative provided school clothes, Rumah Yatim provided stationery, WIZ provided school headscarves, and BMH distributed food needs in the form of Sembako.
“From Dompet Dhuafa Waspada, providing shoes and socks, Human Initiative providing school clothes, Rumah Yatim providing the stationeries, WIZ providing the school hijab, and BMH distributing food needs in the form of Sembako,” he explained.
The handover of this assistance was received directly by the Head of Matfa Village, Tuwan Imam Hanafi. He enthusiastically expressed his gratitude for the concern of Dompet Dhuafa Waspada and also FOZ Sumut for returning to help disaster victims. According to him, this assistance is a form of brotherhood that must continue to be maintained.
