DELI SERDANG, NORTH SUMATRA -— Through Dompet Dhuafa Volunteer (DDV), Dompet Dhuafa Waspada presented a free Learning House at Griya Permata III Housing Complex Block CC No.24, Tanjung Anom Village, Pancur Batu Deli Serdang District, North Sumatra, on Monday (4/7/2022). The Learning Center, named Lubawi, was officially inaugurated by the Branch Manager of Dompet Dhuafa Waspada, Sulaiman.
On that occasion, Sulaiman said that the Learning House could be put to good use by the residents. “We want this Learning House to truly become a place of learning that is not only for school subjects but also for learning and improving the recitation of the Qur’an and memorizing it,” he said.
With enthusiasm, Sulaiman also encouraged parents to enroll their children in the Learning Center. “Alhamdulillah, the Learning Center is now here. Fathers and mothers, please immediately enroll your children so we can utilize this learning facility,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Dhini, the owner of the house that serves as the Learning Center, welcomed the opening of the Lubawi Learning Center. In fact, she believes that it is only natural for the Learning Center to be developed and supported by the residents of Tanjung Anom Village, especially those who are Muslim.
“I am very happy with the Lubawi Learning Center. I hope that the volunteers are willing and enthusiastic to spread knowledge and kindness through this learning center,“ said Dhini.
In addition to Dhini, Zizan, the village development coordinator, also strongly supports the learning center established by Dompet Dhuafa Waspada. ”I hope that this learning center can be developed in various other locations, especially in Tanjung Anom Village,” said Zizan.
Some of the programs currently being implemented at the Lubawi Learning Center include evening Quran recitation, memorization, and subject tutoring. In the future, the Lubawi Learning Center will continue to develop various programs to maximize its benefits. (Dompet Dhuafa / Waspada / Arlen)
