JAKARTA — The recent surge in the prices of basic foodstuffs has had a significant impact on the community, especially now that we have entered the month of Ramadan 1443 H. The prices of several staple foods continue to rise. In response to this phenomenon, LAZNAZ Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) Jakarta has initiated a partnership with Dompet Dhuafa to distribute basic foodstuffs.
The distribution of basic necessities was carried out at two locations with a total of 100 beneficiaries from vulnerable groups. The first distribution was carried out on Wednesday (3/23/2022) to the Pondok Pesantren Ilmu Al-Qur’an (PPIQ) in Selaraja Village, Warung Gunung District, Lebak Regency, Banten.
This distribution was given to 50 beneficiaries who are santri (Islamic boarding school students) and PPIQ administrators. The chairperson of the PPIQ Foundation welcomed this activity and also expressed his gratitude to LAZNAZ PHR and Dompet Dhuafa for the assistance they had provided and also prayed that all parties involved in collecting this assistance would always be blessed.
Furthermore, the second distribution was carried out on Monday (3/28/2022) in Urug Village, Sukajaya District, Bogor Regency. Basic food assistance was given to the local community with a total of 50 beneficiaries.
“We hope that the basic food assistance that we distribute can be useful for the whole community, especially in this era of soaring prices of basic foodstuffs. We also thank LAZNAZ PHR for its trust in Dompet Dhuafa in this distribution. We hope that this collaboration for good will continue in the future so that more parties can feel its benefits,” said Mustaki as a representative of the Dompet Dhuafa Community Service Institution.
Representatives from LAZNAZ PHR Jakarta welcomed the results of this basic food distribution. With the transfer of the Rokan Block to PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR), the Zakat Institution managed by the Rokan Block Oil and Gas Workers has changed its name to LAZNAZ PHR.
With the spirit of energy for good, continuing the community programs that have been established and nurtured previously, today LAZNAZ PHR Jabodetabek collaborated with Dompet Dhuafa to carry out its inaugural program in the form of distributing basic food assistance to 100 people who are considered vulnerable in the Jabodetabek area. It should be noted that LAZNAZ PHR is a zakat collection partner of Dompet Dhuafa, continuing their previous collaboration.
Denies Syahruddin, Advisor to LAZNAZ PHR Jakarta, said, “The LAZNAZ PHR program, continuing from previous programs, remains focused on distributing zakat funds collected from PHR workers in the Rokan Block, namely in the form of consumptive programs such as basic foodstuffs, etc., and productive programs that can generate revenue for aid recipients.” (Dompet Dhuafa / PM)
