JAKARTA — The Disaster Management Center (DMC) of Dompet Dhuafa provided 300 hygiene kits to flood survivors in Pakistan on Friday (09/23/2022).
Previously, DMC Dompet Dhuafa had distributed 120 food packages through a local partner network in Pakistan called We Care Foundation.
“We hope that this distribution can serve as an example and inspiration for other humanitarian workers in assisting their fellow brothers and sisters in Pakistan,” explained Haryo Mojopahit, Chief Executive of DMC Dompet Dhuafa, in a brief message.

This Friday (September 23, 2022), DMC Dompet Dhuafa will send 300 hygiene kits through the Forum Zakat (FOZ) network and the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) to be immediately distributed to flood survivors in Pakistan on the initiative of the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenko PMK).
“We from BNPB would like to express our gratitude to our friends at Dompet Dhuafa for their assistance. Insha’Allah, we will distribute these kits along with our own relief goods. Thank you, may this bring goodness to us all. Stay strong,” explained Achmad Thaher, Director of Logistics and Equipment Management at BNPB.

Another reason is to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Asian countries that are also prone to natural disasters.
Previously, the Indonesian government had sent USD 500,000 in aid to the Pakistani government to help with flood relief efforts in Pakistan. This time, the Indonesian government is again sending relief supplies needed by flood survivors in Pakistan. In addition to this aid, the government is also collectively gathering assistance from various NGOs in Indonesia.

Dompet Dhuafa, as a member of FOZ and the Humanitarian Forum Indonesia (HFI), a network forum of Islamic philanthropic NGOs, participated in flood relief efforts in Pakistan. Moved by compassion, they sought to assist flood survivors in Pakistan.
The DMC team from Dompet Dhuafa transported 300 hygiene kits to the BNPB warehouse located at Jalan Boulevard BGR Perintis Kemerdekaan No. 1, RW. 5, Kelapa Gading Barat, Kelapa Gading District, North Jakarta.
