TANGERANG — Dompet Dhuafa and Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) officially inaugurated the MIS Nurul Falah Gelam Jaya school building in Pasar Kemis, Tangerang, Banten on Monday (4/12/2023). This building is the result of GIIAS 2023’s CSR funds, namely the Educare School Renovation Program in collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa.
The inauguration of the renovated building was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony conducted by Ahmad Faqih Syarafaddin, GM of ZIS Collection at Dompet Dhuafa, Abiyoso Wietono, GM of Seven Event, Tati Nurhayati, Chairperson of Al-Firdaus Islamic Foundation, Fika Robiatul Ifqiyah, Principal of MIS Nurul Falah Gelam Jaya, and Moh. Fajeri, Madrasah Supervisor from the Tangerang District Ministry of Religious Affairs Office.
Two buildings were refurbished in this program: one school building consisting of two classrooms and one toilet building comprising two restrooms, as well as the school signboard. Previously, the three classrooms were in very poor condition. Many parts of the roof were leaking and decayed. The floor was cracked in many places, posing a danger. Moreover, parts of the walls were cracked as if they were about to collapse.

Now, the dismal condition has been rectified. Every damaged part has been robustly rebuilt. The decayed sections have been replaced with strong materials. This improvement has been greatly appreciated by the teachers, students, and their guardians.
Tati, the Chairperson of Al-Firdaus Islamic Foundation, mentioned that this was a long-awaited dream for the teachers. She expressed immense joy and gratitude because the school’s aspiration to have comfortable and suitable classrooms for the students of MIS Nurul Falah Gelam Jaya had been realized.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported our learning activities at this school. Previously, during the rainy season like this, the teachers were at a loss. Especially if the rain was heavy and accompanied by strong winds. The rooms would get wet. It wasn’t possible to be outside, nor was it time for a holiday. It was also pitiful for the children to have to take a holiday. But now, we have a nice building. It can be used at any time. Even when it rains, there’s no need to worry. Alhamdulillah,” she said during her speech.

Moh. Fajeri, the Madrasah Supervisor from the Tangerang District Ministry of Religious Affairs Office, appreciated the initiative, stating that the best people are those who are beneficial to others. He believes that this program is good and beneficial for many people. Those involved are the best people of their time.
According to him, in the past, the best people might have been those who bravely fought against colonizers. Today, the best are those who can advance education. By advancing education, human lives can become directed, easier, and blessed, ensuring a more noble future for the nation.
Echoing this, Abiyoso Wietono of Seven Event expressed that knowledge is the foundation of life. Knowledge will illuminate and direct the lives of the nation’s future generations. He hopes that the building and facilities can be utilized to their fullest potential.

“With this new school environment, we hope to inspire the teachers to be more creative in teaching and for the students, especially at MIS Nurul Falah Gelam Jaya, to benefit from it,” he said.
As a conduit of goodness, Dompet Dhuafa acknowledges that this program could proceed with full support from all parties, including the local community. The three-month renovation process was filled with joy at every stage.
“This is the result of our collaboration. Alhamdulillah. Hopefully, it can be well utilized, full of blessings, comfortable for the students to learn, and for the teachers to teach.
