DENPASAR, BALI – At the end of 2024, Dompet Dhuafa Bali received the Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam award from the Denpasar City Government on Friday (20/12/2024), in the Mahottama Room on the third floor, Graha Sewaka Dharma Building (GSD) Lumintang, Denpasar. This award was given as a form of appreciation for Dompet Dhuafa’s contribution in improving the welfare of the community and protecting the environment in Bali.
The Vasudhaiva Award was held to coincide with the commemoration of International Disability Day (HDI) and National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN) 2024. Present at the event, Deputy Chairperson of the Denpasar City Social Welfare Activities Coordinator (K3S) Mrs. Ayu Kristi Arya Wibawa, Head of the Denpasar City Social Service I Gusti Ayu Laxmy Saraswati, social pillars in Denpasar City, heads of social welfare institutions, company leaders, donors, and other invitees.
Deputy Mayor of Denpasar, I Kadek Agus Arya Wibawa, SE, M.Si, handed over this award directly to Dompet Dhuafa. He also expressed his appreciation to Dompet Dhuafa for its support and participation in organizing social welfare in Denpasar City. The Denpasar City Government has a great responsibility to the community so that they can live in peace and comfort and work together, so that they can overcome common problems.

In addition to presenting good programs to empower others, Dompet Dhuafa certainly also strengthens collaboration. One of the steps is to expand the service network. This development is carried out to overcome problems in this country that cannot be done by working alone. Too big a problem, too few resources. So all layers need to join hands, build collaboration, and act together to overcome various problems of inequality and inequality in this country.
In the health program, Dompet Dhuafa Bali has provided free health services for underprivileged people. In the environmental program, Dompet dhuafa Bali initiated various reforestation and beach cleaning activities to maintain cleanliness and environmental sustainability. As well as in the community empowerment program, Dompet Dhuafa has implemented programs aimed at improving the welfare of the community, such as skills training and social assistance.

Fadly Hassan, Branch Manager of Dompet Dhuafa Bali, expressed his gratitude for the award received. In his statement he said, “We are very grateful to the Denpasar City Government for this award. This is a recognition of our team’s hard work and dedication in helping the community, especially in difficult times like the Covid-19 pandemic. This award will motivate us to continue to innovate and contribute even more in social and environmental programs”.
Dompet Dhuafa’s presence since 1993 has focused on poverty alleviation through five program pillars, namely economy, education, health, social and da’wah. Collaboration and synergy continue to be built to expand benefits and support the achievement of the government’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
