Dompet Dhuafa Bengkulu Launches Three Programs in Seluma

SELUMA, BENGKULU — Dompet Dhuafa inaugurated three main social programs focused on the Sido Mulyo Village area, South Seluma District, Seluma, on Tuesday (23/5/2023). The launching of the program in Kampung Zakat Seluma was led by the Senior Officer of Dompet Dhuafa Social Services, Kamaludin, accompanied by Yunida Een Friyanti as the Head of the Dompet Dhuafa Branch of Bengkulu Province.

The event was also attended by the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Bengkulu Province, the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Seluma, Baznas Seluma, South Seluma Sub-District, Sido Mulyo Sub-District, and representatives of Health Center and local Posyandu.

When confirmed, Dompet Dhuafa’s Senior Officer of Social Services, Kamaludin explained the three programs distributed in Kampung Zakat. First, the construction of three toilets, divided into RW 01, RW 02, and RW 03, in the homes of residents who need them. Second, nutrition compensation for malnourished and stunted children, one of which is providing assistance and monitoring to toddlers affected by stunting for the next six months.

Third, the empowerment Dai placement program. In this case, Dompet Dhuafa has appointed one of the Dai who has been given empowerment training before being deployed in Sido Mulyo Village.

“So not only doing da’wah but Dai for the next year will be empowered to help explore the potential that exists in SidoMulyo Village, ranging from economic to social aspects which cooperate with the community,” said Kamaludin.

On this occasion, Kamaludin also thanked all parties who have supported and been involved in this activity’s smooth running. Hopefully, the program provided can positively impact the surrounding community.
