SOUTH TANGERANG — Through the Disaster Management Center (DMC), Dompet Dhuafa deployed 4 (four) flood emergency response teams in the Jabodetabek area due to the intensity of heavy rain on Thursday (6/10/2022). The Alfa team was assigned to Pondok Labu, the Beta team to Pasar Minggu, the Carli team to Ciputat Baru, and the Delta team was in Pendopo Eyang Agung.
“Pondok Labu has the highest number of survivors who died and were injured, precisely in MTs Negeri 19. While in Pasar Minggu, the water level reaches the highest height, which is 5 meters. The same thing is not much different in Ciputat Baru. The area there is often flooded, however, this time, it was unexpected,” explained Haryo Mojopahit, Chief Executive of DMC Dompet Dhuafa.
DMC DD Deploys 4 Emergency Response Teams in Jabodetabek
Previously, in MTsN 19 Pondok Labu, it was reported that 3 (three) students died and 2 (two) others were injured by the parapet of the building behind the open stage of MTsN 19 Pondok Labu, Cilandak, South Jakarta, Thursday (06/10/2022).
The results of a brief, rapid review by the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of DKI Jakarta Province, the collapse of the wall was suspected to be due to the loss of the ability to withstand the volume of puddles from outside the school, which continued to rise by heavy rains that poured into the DKI Jakarta area since 14.00 WIB that day.
In the BPBD report, Gaumai explained that the point was located in the Perum Bukit Pamulang Indah (BPI) area, Pondok Safari RW 15, Jurangmangu Barat, Pondok Aren.

In addition to the evacuation response, the Dompet Dhuafa Team also assisted in assessing affected data to monitor water levels and evacuate affected communities.
“The Ciputat Timur team is currently still evacuating in Ciputat Baru Housing. Starting from children to adults,” explained Adi Sumarna, one of the DMC Dompet Dhuafa evacuation team on duty.
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued weather forecast information stating that the capital city of DKI Jakarta still has the potential for moderate to high-intensity rain and can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds until tomorrow, Friday (7/10/2020).
