ACEH —-— Welcoming the holy month of Ramadan 1447 Hijri, Dompet Dhuafa, through its Education Emergency Response (RDP) team, organized a tarhib activity entitled “Ramadan Ceria” (Happy Ramadan). This activity is a form of concern for children who are survivors of disasters in Aceh Province. The activity aims to bring joy, psychosocial support, and learning supplies for children who are survivors of floods.
The Ramadan tarhib was held as a roadshow from February 10 to 17, 2026, in three affected areas. These included Bireuen Regency, North Aceh Regency, and Aceh Tamiang Regency. The event reached more than 300 elementary school students who had lost or damaged their learning supplies due to flooding.

Through this program, the RDP team distributed basic school supplies such as bags, notebooks, stationery, and other learning equipment. In addition, the activity was filled with educational and fun activities to rebuild the children’s enthusiasm for learning ahead of and during the upcoming Ramadan.
“Ramadan is a month full of hope and kindness. We want to ensure that children who are survivors of disasters can still feel happiness and not lose their right to learn. Even though they are in a difficult situation,” said one of the representatives of the Education Emergency Response team.
This Tarhib Ramadan activity is part of a series of Ramadan Ceria programs, which will continue throughout Ramadan. The program is designed to ensure the continuity of education for children in disaster-affected areas, while providing moral and material support so that the learning process continues to run well.

The floods that hit a number of areas in Aceh not only damaged homes and public facilities, but also disrupted children’s education. Many school supplies were washed away or damaged, classrooms were affected, and children had to face difficult situations at their young age. This situation serves as a reminder that post-disaster recovery requires ongoing attention, especially in ensuring that access to education is maintained.
Education Emergency Response invites all elements of society, including the government, humanitarian agencies, the business world, communities, and individuals, to continue to accompany the children of Aceh in the post-disaster recovery process. Even the smallest amount of support will mean a lot for their future. Aceh still needs our collective care and collaboration so that every child can welcome Ramadan with hope, enthusiasm for learning, and the confidence that they are not walking alone.
