CAIRO, EGYPT — The Dompet Dhuafa humanitarian team, currently stationed in Egypt, is overseeing the loading of humanitarian aid for Gaza onto a convoy of trucks. These trucks are set to travel from a logistics warehouse in Cairo to the Rafah Crossing.
Arif Rahmadi, the leader of the Dompet Dhuafa-IHA (Indonesian Humanitarian Alliance) Humanitarian Team Delegation, expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are thankful to Allah SWT for granting us this prime opportunity to prepare essential supplies for the people of Gaza, Palestine. This morning, Monday (27/11/2023), Cairo time, we will set off a convoy of 11 trucks from the Indonesian Humanitarian Alliance. The journey is anticipated to last at least 14 hours, stretching from Cairo to the Rafah Crossing, and will involve numerous military checkpoint inspections.”

He added, “The 11 trucks are loaded with dry food packages such as flour, milk, macaroni, rice, cheese, peanut paste, canned meat, and mineral water. Additionally, we’ve included medications and winter supplies.”
The ceasefire in Gaza, Palestine, has brought a wave of euphoria to the people of Gaza and the West Bank, celebrated further by the prisoner exchange between the conflicting sides.

In light of the ceasefire, humanitarian organizations are encouraged to expedite the delivery of aid into Gaza. The packages of aid, gathered through Dompet Dhuafa and IHA from donors for Palestine, are prepared to make their way through the Rafah Crossing.
Previously, Dompet Dhuafa, in collaboration with local partners in Gaza, distributed essentials to women and children and established the DD Kitchen (Dompet Dhuafa Public Kitchen). This initiative produces 1,000 ready-to-eat meal packages each day for distribution to the residents of North Gaza. Furthermore, Dompet Dhuafa-IHA has also dispatched humanitarian aid in two batches totaling six tons via air, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a mission initiated by President Jokowi.
