Dompet Dhuafa Provides a Comfortable Prayer Room at GBLA Stadium During PERSIB’s Home Match

BANDUNG —-— A unique and warm atmosphere filled the air amid the excitement of PERSIBDAY at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA) on Sunday (February 22, 2026). This was especially significant as it marked the third day of Ramadan 1447 Hijri. Clean and comfortable prayer rooms were provided by Dompet Dhuafa, a result of a collaboration between PERSIB and the West Java branch of Dompet Dhuafa, specifically for the Bobotoh and all supporters who came to watch the match between Persib Bandung and Persita Tangerang.

While waiting for the kick-off, a number of Bobotoh were seen using the time to perform their prayers at the prayer rooms set up in the stadium area. At GBLA, there are four prayer rooms supported by Dompet Dhuafa West Java, located in the Main VIP, Northwest VIP, East VIP, and North VIP areas.

These prayer room facilities are equipped with clean, soft prayer mats and slippers to make it easier for worshippers to perform wudu. This small gesture creates a more solemn and comfortable atmosphere for worship.

Andang Ruhiat, Vice President of Operations at PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat, expressed his appreciation for the support provided by Dompet Dhuafa Jabar. According to him, this collaboration helps create a more welcoming atmosphere for Bobotoh, especially during the holy month.

“Alhamdulillah, we greatly appreciate Dompet Dhuafa’s support for PERSIB through the prayer room at GBLA Stadium. This helps create a comfortable match atmosphere for Bobotoh, especially during prayer times,” he said.

Andang emphasized that this initiative represents a positive collaboration between the club, the supporters, and other supporting elements in fostering a football culture that promotes goodness. PERSIB, he added, fully supports similar initiatives so that Bobotoh can engage in their support activities without worrying about their religious obligations.

The head of the West Java branch of Dompet Dhuafa, Yogi Achmad Fajar, hopes that the prayer room facility will not only be used during Ramadan but will continue to be utilized in the future.

“This Ramadan can mark the beginning of a collaborative effort to serve Bobotoh in their worship. In addition to filling the stadium stands, Bobotoh can also support PERSIB through prayer,” he said.

This collaboration underscores that soccer is not merely about matches on the field, but also about creating spaces for kindness—in the stands, in places of worship, and in the prayers that accompany the struggles of the team we’re proud of. (Dompet Dhuafa)
