JAKARTA —-— Dompet Dhuafa received humanitarian donations from PT Mowilex Indonesia in the form of 1,000 Mowilex kits containing food packages and hygiene kits to support flood disaster response in Sumatra. The handover of the donation took place at the PT Mowilex Indonesia office, Jalan Daan Mogot, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta, on Tuesday (03/02/2026).

The donation was handed over directly by Niko Safavi as CEO of PT Mowilex Indonesia, accompanied by Emenda Brahmana as HR Manager, as well as Hafidz Ghifari and Matthew Nathanael as ESG Specialists. The aid was received by Etika Setiawanti, Director of Resource Mobilization at Dompet Dhuafa, together with Rahmat Riyadi, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Dompet Dhuafa, accompanied by Dian Mulyadi, Deputy Corporate Secretary.

The donation consisted of 1,000 Mowilex Kits (Mowilex paint pails or buckets filled with food and hygiene kits). All of the aid was sent by truck to Dompet Dhuafa’s command posts in the Bireuen and Langsa Aceh Tamiang areas to be distributed to the communities affected by the floods.

On this occasion, Niko Safavi expressed his deep concern over the floods that had affected communities in several areas of Sumatra. He explained that Mowilex’s involvement in humanitarian actions was part of the company’s long-standing values and traditions that had been passed down since its inception. In every disaster situation, Mowilex consistently directs the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds to help the affected victims.

“We have a long history and close relationship with the communities we serve. This is a company legacy that I have inherited from the founders and their families. If you look back at the company’s documentation since the 1980s, even before the term CSR was known, Mowilex was already involved in the development of community centers, parks, and educational institutions in various regions of Indonesia,” said Niko.

Regarding the collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa, Niko said that this collaboration is the first, but it feels very appropriate. His party wants to partner with a highly credible organization that has unquestionable ethics and morals, as well as a long track record of supporting the Indonesian people.

“In terms of the effectiveness and speed of aid distribution, we believe that we cannot achieve this on our own. Together with Dompet Dhuafa, we have full confidence that our contributions will truly reach those who need them most,” he said.

In response to this, Etika Setiawanti explained that Dompet Dhuafa has an extensive and structured network, with branches in almost all provinces in Indonesia, including Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. In addition, Dompet Dhuafa is also supported by a network of partners and volunteers spread across regencies and cities.

“Dompet Dhuafa has integrated management and distribution systems from upstream to downstream. This is what enables us to distribute aid effectively and efficiently to the beneficiaries,” explained Etika.

She also added that since the first day after the disaster, the Dompet Dhuafa Disaster Management Center (DMC) team and its network of volunteers have been present at the affected locations to carry out emergency responses.

During the meeting, Dompet Dhuafa also presented a number of projections and follow-up measures that are being pursued in the disaster-affected areas. Currently, Dompet Dhuafa’s humanitarian programs in the region have begun to enter the recovery phase, with a focus on building temporary houses, permanent houses, schools, and religious facilities such as mosques.

Through this collaboration, Dompet Dhuafa and PT Mowilex Indonesia hope that the aid distributed can ease the burden on the affected communities and accelerate the post-disaster recovery process in the Sumatra region. (Dompet Dhuafa)
