JAKARTA —-— Dompet Dhuafa is strengthening its role in humanitarian advocacy at the global level by sending a delegation on the Global Peace Convoy Indonesia (GPCI) mission to Brussels, Belgium, on Sunday (April 19, 2026). The mission aims to end the humanitarian blockade in Gaza while promoting a peaceful resolution to the Palestinian conflict through international forums. The delegates will attend an international conference as part of a mission of humanitarian diplomacy and global peace, specifically regarding the occupation of Palestine by Zionist Israel.

The delegation consists of national figures with strong track records in the fields of law, social affairs, religion, and politics, namely Arif Rahmadi Haryono (General Manager of Advocacy at Dompet Dhuafa), Prof. Sudarnoto (Chair of the Indonesian Ulema Council’s (MUI) Division of Foreign Relations and International Cooperation), and Feri Amsari (Constitutional Law Expert).

In addition to these three individuals, the following also departed at separate times: Wanda Hamidah (human rights activist and advocate for pro-Palestinian issues), Prof. Heru Susetyo (Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia), and Gustika Jusuf Hatta (researcher and human rights activist).

Indonesia’s participation in this forum represents a contribution by civil society toward fostering peaceful solutions to various global conflicts that have led to humanitarian crises. Through a cross-national approach of dialogue and collaboration, these delegates are expected to convey Indonesia’s perspective, which upholds the values of justice, humanity, and peace.

While in Brussels, the delegates will engage in various strategic activities, including panel discussions, meetings with international stakeholders, and policy advocacy forums focused on peaceful and sustainable conflict resolution.

“Today, six delegates from the Global Peace Convoy Indonesia are departing for Brussels to attend the global congress. The aim is to highlight or send a message to the entire world regarding the humanitarian blockade imposed by the Zionists on Gaza and Palestine. “I believe this is a crucial moment for Indonesia to strengthen its stance in support of the Palestinian people’s struggle,” stated Arif Rahmadi Haryono, one of the GPCI delegates, during a press conference at Soekarno-Hatta Airport ahead of their departure on Sunday (April 19, 2026).

The General Manager of Advocacy at Dompet Dhuafa stated that the delegation’s presence represents not only the organization but also the aspirations of the Indonesian people, who desire a world that is more peaceful and just.

In addition, another delegate, Prof. Sudarnoto, stated that this mission is part of a collective effort between the government and civil society to ensure that the voice of humanity remains present and is championed at the global level. At the international forum, the delegates will advocate for the full opening of humanitarian aid corridors so that aid can reach conflict zones.

“There, we will also advocate for and prioritize the mission of opening the gates for humanitarian aid to enter conflict zones,” he emphasized.

Through this participation, the public continues to demonstrate its role as a nation actively promoting world peace, in line with the constitutional mandate to contribute to the maintenance of world order based on freedom, lasting peace, and social justice.

On the same occasion, speaking before national and international media reporters, Feri Amsari emphasized that Indonesia intends to continue pressuring the Israeli government and its allies to comply with humanitarian law. This pressure is being exerted in two ways: first, through convoys of humanitarian ships sailing directly through the Gaza blockade; and second, through international diplomacy.

“Thus, this diplomacy ensures pressure is applied to the Israeli government and its allies, such as the United States, to open channels for humanitarian aid. Humanitarian aid must not be fired upon, as that is a violation of humanitarian law. This political pressure is crucial as the primary foundation for various humanitarian initiatives,” emphasized Feri Amsari.

Moving forward, Dompet Dhuafa hopes this initiative can strengthen global collaboration networks and open up broader spaces for dialogue in seeking inclusive and sustainable peaceful solutions. Dompet Dhuafa invites all Indonesians to support this mission in whatever way they can, according to their own passions and capacities. (Dompet Dhuafa)
