CIANJUR, WEST JAVA – Dompet Dhuafa together with Tokopedia again visited Cianjur residents to recover, through the Disaster Management Center (DMC) Dompet Dhuafa, the distribution of logistics in the form of family kits on Tuesday (28/2/2023). The assistance was provided as family kit packages, which amounted to 75 packages.
A family kit includes relief items like foam mattresses, pillows and blankets. For the distribution scheme, one family kit package is distributed per family card, distribution is carried out in Sarapmad Village, Cugenang District, Cianjur Regency.
Affrizal as the Digital Partnership team of Dompet Dhuafa, appreciates the synergy of kindness established with Tokopedia. So far, Tokopedia has also accompanied and fully supported the restoration of Cianjur.
“It’s great to collaborate again with Tokopedia and witness the happy smiles of disaster survivors in Cianjur. Hopefully, with this assistance, they can immediately rise from sadness and return to activities as before,” said Affrizal in an interview.
Their laughter again got a new mattress and pillow, one of the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the assistance provided by Dompet Dhuafa and Tokopedia.
“Thank you very much sir, this is very beneficial for us,” said one of the beneficiaries.
In addition to distributing family kits, Tokopedia also participated in the Cianjur Recovery Program, namely the construction of Temporary Housing or Hunian Sementara (HUNTARA) Bunga initiated by Dompet Dhuafa, later as many as 100 Huntara will be established for the affected survivors.
One of the beneficiaries of Huntara Bunga was Syamsiah (32), a Housewife with 2 children who survived the earthquake. Syamsiah revealed that the condition of his house is no longer suitable for living, he feels very grateful to be one of the beneficiaries of the construction of a building with a recycled house concept.
“Alhamdulillah, it’s nice, rich yesterday hit by an earthquake, maybe the heart below is now starting to rise again, having more enthusiasm for life, to continue the children’s future, the main thing,” explained Syamsiah.
Until now, the construction of Huntara Bunga has reached 60%, when encountered by the Dompet Dhuafa team, many buildings have been equipped with walls and roofs, which then add cubicles, as information on the workers who built Huntara are Cianjur people as form of cooperation and psychological recovery for those affected.
