Dompet Dhuafa Won 2nd Place in the Philanthropy Category at the 2022 SDGs Action Award.

Jakarta: Dompet Dhuafa won Second Place in the Philanthropy category in the 2022 SDGs Action Award, held at The Sultan Hotel & Residence, Jakarta, on Thursday (1/12/2022). The government appreciates various parties that have shown their best performance in providing concrete action to realize inclusive and sustainable development.

The award was handed over directly to the Minister of the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), Suharso Monoarfa, and received by the Director of Communications and Strategic Alliances, Bambang Suherman.

The 2022 SDGs Award is a participation indicator of zakat institutions in contributing to the success of all the pillars of the SDGs. Receiving this award also confirms that zakat institutions, zakat programs, and zakat movements are essential to the management and implementation of SDGs in Indonesia. Bambang Suherman, Director of Communications and the Strategic Alliance of Dompet Dhuafa, said that this award was given as a form of recognition for the quality and quality of program implementation, which is of real benefit to the community.

“Alhamdulillah, today the zakat institutions and the zakat movement are represented by Dompet Dhuafa for the philanthropy category as a form of recognition of the work carried out by Dompet Dhuafa and also zakat institutions in Indonesia,” said Bambang when interviewed on Thursday (1/12/2019). 2022).

Furthermore, Bambang also explained the various programs proposed within the SDGs framework. Dompet Dhuafa offered three health, economic, and education programs. 

“In education, our program is to become empowered mustahik with excellent qualifications in the education sector. Most of the absorption of our program enters the world of work in relatively good positions,” said Bambang.

Meanwhile, in the health sector, four things are the focus of the health program: tightening the identification of non-communicable and infectious diseases in the community, sanitation, nutrition, and mother and child.

“With these four issues, we target an area and then hold promotive, preventive, and curative-based health programs. So that the community is not just one or two people, but one area changes its healthy behavior. Then being able to suppress serious health issues such as stunting, malnutrition, lack of access to sanitation, and handling mothers and children with various program models,” added Bambang.

The program focuses on agriculture in the economic field by presenting a comparison of income owned.

“Meanwhile, we present the economy with an agricultural program and what is used is paparazzi before, whose income is an average of ½ million, and after that, it is above the ump, between 5-7 million,” he added.

By the motto of the SDGs, no one left behind, said Bambang, Dompet Dhuafa will always continue to move towards achieving sustainable development goals in Indonesia and strive together to ensure economic growth, create equity, and improve people’s welfare.

“The award that we have received is a product of our concern for the dynamics and conditions of society, so we are fighting together to ensure that no community suffers alone unless we get help from all of us, yes, from humanitarian activists. , so no one is left behind, “said Bambang.

This award also indicates that Dompet Dhuafa is on the right track according to public expectations. With this award, Dompet Dhuafa is responsible for improving this achievement and improving the quality and product quality of the Dompet Dhuafa program in the community.
