JAKARTA — Dompet Dhuafa Mudik Post at Kampung Rambutan Terminal was observed to be crowded with travelers, on Monday (4/8/2024). Two days before Eid al-Fitr 1445 H, Dompet Dhuafa is increasingly aggressively providing various services for travelers. Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan claims that the 2024 Lebaran homecoming will be the most festive of all time. This refers to the survey results of the Transportation Policy Agency (BKT) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub). The survey estimates the number of travelers to reach 193.6 million people, up 34 percent from the previous year.

Titled Family Friendly Mudik Post, Dompet Dhuafa Mudik Post provides a variety of free services needed by homecoming warriors who want to go home. At the Kampung Rambutan Terminal Mudik Post, Dompet Dhuafa held Mobile Phone Service and Charging services by the Institute of Independence (IK), Health Checks and Health Education by Free Health Services (LKC), Nutrition Packages or PMT (Supplementary Feeding) for children by the Community Service Institute (LPM), to the Play Corner by the Disaster Management Center (DMC). In addition, there were also free hygiene kits, free ambulance services, and free takjil distribution.

All of these free service activities would not be possible without the involvement of donors who support and participate in the goodness of Dompet Dhuafa’s programs in the month of Ramadan.

Fakhri Rabbani, the person in charge of the Kp. Rambutan Mudik Post said, Kp. Rambutan Terminal is a favorite terminal for travelers every year. Launching Sindonews.com, it was recorded that the surge of travelers reached 300 percent. From Sunday (4/7/2024) afternoon to Monday (4/8/2024) early morning, there were 84 bus departures with 1,333 passengers. This is far from the normal day of around 300 passengers. The dominant destination of travelers is towards West Java. For the direction of Central Java, the dominant travelers headed to Purwokerto and Wonosobo. While in the direction of Sumatra, most travelers headed to Padang City.

The presence of the Dompet Dhuafa Mudik Post here facilitates the needs of travelers. This service for travelers is a collaborative program between Dompet Dhuafa organ and branch networks. These include DMC, LKC, LPM, and IK. In fact, many problems are often faced by travelers, ranging from health, logistics, and resting places.

“There were 1,890 people who received services at this homecoming post. The Dompet Dhuafa team at Kp. Rambutan Terminal has been on standby to serve travelers who stopped by since Thursday (4/4/2024) until tomorrow (Tuesday, 9/4/2024) morning. Please pray that travelers are always safe on the journey. We are ready to provide support in the form of services that may be needed by travelers,” said Fakhri.

On the sidelines of the activities of the Family Friendly Mudik Post officers, the Initiator and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dompet Dhuafa was present to greet and encourage. He deliberately took the time to meet directly with officers, volunteers, beneficiaries, and other parties who support this program. The senior journalist’s words of encouragement and motivation came warmly from his lips.
