ACEH —— Dozens of tons of aid containing basic necessities arrived at the Aceh MTQ Main Arena Building on Tuesday (9/12/2025). The aid will be packed into hundreds of packages prepared for distribution to affected residents at various evacuation points. The arrival of this aid was welcomed directly by the Regent of Pidie Jaya, Sibral Malasyi.
Dompet Dhuafa, through its Disaster Management Center (DMC), immediately began packaging the aid into food packages ready for distribution to survivors. This aid shipment is part of the ongoing emergency response efforts that have been underway since the first day of the disaster.
The Head of the Disaster Mitigation and Training Division of Dompet Dhuafa’s DMC, Achmad Lukman, met with the Regent of Pidie Jaya to discuss the progress of disaster management. Lukman said that since the day after the flash flood occurred, the DMC team had immediately moved quickly to the field.
“From the first day, our team has been on site to carry out emergency response. We evacuated victims, distributed food aid, provided health services, opened public kitchens with the community, and provided psychological first aid services for children,” he explained.

The Regent of Sibral Malasyi expressed his appreciation and full support for the steps taken by Dompet Dhuafa in handling disasters in his region. According to him, the presence of humanitarian institutions such as Dompet Dhuafa greatly helps the local government accelerate the recovery of the community.
The Provisional Recapitulation Data on the Impact of Floods and Landslides in 2025, released by the Pidie Jaya Regency Government through Disaster Statement Number: 300.2/402.1, illustrates the large scale of the disaster that has hit this region. The number of casualties and losses continues to grow as data collection in the field progresses.
As of the release of this report, the following figures have been recorded:
- 31 people have died
- 390 people have suffered serious injuries, predominantly in the sub-districts of Meureudu (303 people) and Panteraja (51 people)
- 1,437 people have suffered minor injuries, with the highest number in Meureudu (820 people)
- 18,144 people have been displaced to 72 evacuation sites
- 222 villages affected, with the highest number in Bandar Dua District (45 villages), Panteraja (30 villages), and Meurah Dua (30 villages)
- 26,825 households directly affected by flash floods and landslides


Meureudu is the subdistrict with the highest number of refugees, namely 8,564 people, followed by Trienggadeng and Panteraja. This data shows the extent and severity of the impact of the disaster on the people of Pidie Jaya.
With dozens of tons of aid already arriving, Dompet Dhuafa remains committed to strengthening its support for survivors. The distribution of food aid, health services, psychosocial support, and other emergency relief efforts will continue until conditions gradually improve.
