Empowering Housewives in Difficult Times, Dompet Dhuafa Cooperates with NIVEA

JAKARTA – Dompet Dhuafa established a good collaborative action with PT Beiersdorf Indonesia (NIVEA) and Watsons Indonesia, holding the NIVEA Challenging Times Activation program: Faithfully Taking Care of Your Skin in Difficult Times on Thursday (12/1/2023), at Kantor Kecamatan Setiabudi, the 4th floor, South Jakarta.

NIVEA Challenging Times Activation Program: Faithfully Taking Care of Your Skin in Difficult Times is a campaign program of kindness of NIVEA, Watsons, together with Dompet Dhuafa. Every purchase of all NIVEA products on November 1-30, 2022 at all Watsons stores in Indonesia, amount of Rp1,000 / product will be donated to spread kindness to the society, especially to strong women.

As a follow-up to the program, a symbolic distribution of the program was also carried out in the form of giving basic food packages and distributing NIVEA product packages at Kantor Kecamatan Setiabudi (Setiabudi District Office). Head of Shopper & Customer expressed his appreciation to Dompet Dhuafa for being able to collaborate and make the campaign a success.

Facing difficult times will be hard if we face it alone, of course it requires help and support from various parties. After the Covid-19 pandemic, mass layoffs, many people were affected. Reducing poverty in the society is one of the main focuses of Dompet Dhuafa. Various collaborative action service programs continue to be held by Dompet Dhuafa by collaborating with kindness partners to raise the dignity of the dhuafa in breaking the chain of poverty.

The total collection from this activity reached Rp181,600,000, not only providing assistance in the form of basic food packages and various NIVEA products, but Watsons, Nivea and Dompet Dhuafa also wanted to provide prolonged benefits like knowledge investment in the form of beauty classes. There was also a demo of the steps of using makeup and skincare done by the trainer.

Skincare Category Manager, Abo Haryanto said the target of this program was housewives who were affected in difficult times.

Session 2 was followed by a beauty class by Nivea which was attended by 30 PKK or Pembina Kesejahteraan Keluarga (Family Welfare Coaches)

This activity targeted around 500 PM consisting of 100 PM in Setiabudi District, South Jakarta, besides that 100 PM was distributed to victims of the Cianjur Earthquake, 100 PM in East Java, 100 PM in Central Java and 100 PM in Yogyakarta.
