JAKARTA – In order to commemorate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW., Dompet Duafa held a Maulid Nabi & Gerakan Sholawat Bersama event. This event was held on Monday (10/10/2022) at the Philanthropy Building, South Jakarta. Followed by The Dompet Dhuafa team, yet it is also open to the public.
In addition to commemorating the Prophet’s birth, Dompet Dhuafa introduced the 10 to 10 program at this event. On the 10th of the 10th month (October), Dompet Dhuafa invites the community to help 10 schools which will later get 10 virtues. This movement is an act of exemplifying the caring nature of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.
“This time, Dompet Dhuafa invites the public to share on program 10 for 10: On October 10th, helping 10 schools and getting 10 virtues because it manifests the caring nature of prophet Muhammad SAW,” said Suci Nuzleni Qadarsih, the General Manager of Dompet Dhuafa Marketing Communication.
Suci added that the 10 to 10 program is a follow-up program from Millennial Bangun Sekolah (SBM). There have been so many millennials who have participated and even donated at Dompet Dhuafa. The school built by Dompet Dhuafa has gone through an assessment process. Dompet Dhuafa also assessed all schools in Indonesia that had been damaged. In fact, there is still a school that is still roofed with wood, so during the rainstorm, the students do not go to school. Through this 10 to 10 program, Dompet Dhuafa will like to improve these schools.
In addition, Suci also thanked all parties who have participated in this program. “Dompet Dhuafa is very grateful to all parties, especially the millennials who help Dompet Dhuafa. Even above 50% now the donors are millennials. We wouldn’t exist or could have been if it weren’t for the help of various parties such as; donors, volunteers, beneficiaries, etc. Therefore, we hope that the more people who help, the more people will be helped,” she said.
In the other hand, Volunteer Specialist Vabella Widitiar, generally called Bella, tells the beginning of becoming a Volunteer at Dompet Dhuafa. Initially, he was invited to fill the Dompet Dhuafa event in Sarinah, Central Jakarta. After that, he was contacted and offered to go to Medan to do Quality Control of qurban animals. She is personally thrilled with the programs from Dompet Dhuafa, especially this 10 to 10. Because when she went to Medan, he saw that the school there was unsuitable for the students studying there.
“My busy life as a student and an influencer doesn’t stop me from sharing. When my mind is unclear or feeling dizzy, I start a giveaway or share prizes with my followers. Thank God, unexpectedly, soon, there was fortune that followed. So for the friends out there as well, don’t hesitate to share,” she said.
On this occasion, Ustadz Ahmad Sonhaji, director of Da’wah, Culture and Community Services (DBPM) Dompet Dhuafa, gave a tausiyah about the nature of the Prophet. He explained that the Prophet Muhammad loved the Dhuafa very much. In fact, he continued, the Prophet said if he wanted to look for him, then look for him among the dhuafa. Because, indeed, a person will be helped and given sustenance for helping the poor.
“This is the same as the Dompet Dhuafa program, which is 10 for 10. Which helps the poor to study in a more decent place because the wealth will not decrease,” he explained.
The event was closed with a joint prayer led by Adhando, then meet and greets followed by photo sessions with the performers and the event participants who stayed from beginning to end. (Dompet Dhuafa / Muhaitsam)
