SERANG, BANTEN – In the late afternoon, the Dompet Dhuafa THK monitoring and evaluation team arrived at DD Farm Banten, Kp. Gowok Kepuh, RT.09/RW.03, Sukajaya, Curug District, Serang City, on Saturday (9/7/2022). Upon arrival, the team held a consolidation meeting with the Barn Manager and Barn Staff (ABK) regarding technical matters and the distribution map for the next day’s Sacrificial Animal Distribution agenda.
Several barn staff were seen preparing the departure of the sheep and goats that had been mapped out beforehand. Other activities seen around the barn included several Dompet Dhuafa Banten branch staff preparing baskets for the distribution of qurbani meat.
“We have determined 16 distribution points in Banten that are remote, poor, and outlying areas. Some of the distribution points for the sacrificial animal meat are those who are indeed lacking and deficient in meat, meaning they rarely get to enjoy meat. Therefore, these distribution points for the sacrificial animal meat were selected,” said Iqbal, a member of the Dompet Dhuafa Banten team.

“We are conducting monitoring and evaluation (Monev) in Banten to ensure that the sacrificial animals in the Banten region are healthy and of good quality so that the beneficiaries are happy and not worried,” added Ayu, a member of the THK Dompet Dhuafa Monev team in Pandeglang, Banten.
The farmhands were also still seen tending to, cleaning, and feeding the goats at DD Farm Banten II this afternoon before the sacrificial animals were transported to the distribution points in good health and safety.

“We are also empowering the farmhands who have undergone training as slaughterers of sacrificial animals to participate in slaughtering the animals tomorrow. This is so that they can gain more experience in handling sacrificial animals,” added Anggun, the Manager of DD Farm Banten II. (Dompet Dhuafa / Sarra Nurfitriani)
