BATAM, KEPRI — In order to raise public awareness of the importance of women’s reproductive health and to provide access to quality medical services, Dompet Dhuafa Riau Islands Branch (DD Kepri) held a free ultrasound service for uterine health checks at the Grand Mosque of Batam, Batam City. The event, organized by DD Kepri through the Healthy Service Room Program in collaboration with the Health Emergency Response (RDK) volunteer team, took place on Sunday (November 2, 2025) from 8:00 AM until completion.
The free ultrasound and uterine health consultation services are specifically aimed at the community, especially women, who often face financial constraints in undergoing routine check-ups. The services are directly handled by Dr. Vitri Wulan Sari, Sp.OG, a professional obstetrician and gynecologist. Dr. Vitri is supported by the Dompet Dhuafa Kepri Health Team and RDK Kepri volunteers, who collaborate closely with Paskas Batam.
“Uterine health is often neglected until serious complaints arise. Through this activity, we want to help mothers and young women to be more concerned about their reproductive health from an early age,” said Dr. Vitri Wulan Sari, Sp.OG.

This program has a noble goal, which is to increase women’s awareness of the importance of maintaining uterine health and early detection of reproductive disorders. Through these free ultrasound examinations, it is hoped that the community will become more concerned about reproductive health and gain access to quality medical services without being constrained by cost.
Participants simply need to come directly to the location. The examinations are conducted in turns with the assistance of a medical team and volunteers. In addition to the ultrasound examination, participants also receive a direct consultation session regarding the examination results and follow-up advice from a specialist doctor.
“I am very grateful to be able to participate in this free ultrasound examination. I rarely get checked because the cost is quite expensive, but with this program from Dompet Dhuafa, I can now clearly understand my health condition. The doctor also explained patiently and in detail, so I feel more at ease and know the condition of my uterus. Thank you very much to the entire team for caring about us,” said one of the participants of the free ultrasound examination service.
This activity reaffirms Dompet Dhuafa Kepri’s commitment to continue providing inclusive and equitable health services for all levels of society, supporting the realization of a healthy and prosperous Batam community. (Dompet Dhuafa)
