Gojek Mitra Kamtibmas Medan Hands Over Aid for Cianjur Earthquake Victims

NORTH SUMATRA — After making various invitations of kindness from the citizens, Gojek Mitra Kamtibmas Medan handed over aids to Dompet Dhuafa Waspada, on Wednesday (30/11/2022). This aid will be distributed to earthquake victims in Cianjur, West Java.

Irwan, Chairman of Gojek Mitra Kamtibmas Medan, said that this was done as a form of Gojek Mitra Kamtibmas Medan’s concern for the victims of the Cianjur earthquake which was currently still being hit by a disaster. He also said that he and other members raised funds simultaneously at eight points in the city of Medan.

“It’s a humanitarian call for us. For our brothers and sisters there, we want to help them deal with the disaster. We set up eight points in one day. Alhamdulillah, we collected around Rp4,681,000,-. Hopefully, at least this can help,” he said.

The humanitarian action carried out by Gojek Mitra Kamtibmas Medan was also appreciated by Sulaiman, the Head of the Dompet Dhuafa Waspada Branch. Not only giving appreciation, Sulaiman also hoped that this action could be modeled by others.

“This kind of action deserves our appreciation, and gratitude to Gojek Mitra Kamtibmas for distributing the aid through Dompet Dhuafa Waspada. Hopefully, it can move the hearts of others so that we can together help our brothers and sisters who are currently grieving in Cianjur,” he said.

Up till today, Dompet Dhuafa Waspada still continues to receive aid for citizens who want to distribute their assistance to earthquake victims in Cianjur. The aid that has been running there is in the form of mobile kitchens, health services, SAR and Evacuation, Mobilization of Body Recovery, Distribution of Emergency Tents, Distribution of Logistics Materials, Public Kitchens, Nutrition Corners, and Psychological First Aid.
