The late Dr. Mohammed J M Shabat has been with Dompet Dhuafa since 2019. He was a medical volunteer from FPEA (Al-Fursan Palestine Emergency Association), dedicated to Kamal Adwan Hospital in North Gaza. He also studied in Indonesia, precisely at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences UIN Jakarta.

Representing Dompet Dhuafa, Ahmad Juwaini, Chairman of the Board of Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation, expressed his deep concern that Dr. Mohammed J M Shabat has been an important link in the distribution of medical aid in Gaza.

“With his Indonesian language skills, he is a figure who plays a role in ensuring that medical needs such as the number of victims, health service points, fuel, medicines, hemodialysis rooms, women’s kits, ambulance mobilization for medical response and food aid can be distributed to those in need. O Allah, may he, his wife and family be blessed, and the friends of the deceased be given fortitude and sincerity to accept this disaster. Innalillahi wa innailaihi roji’un,” he said.

Prayers and condolences were sent to the late Dr. Mohammed J Shabat via text on WhatsApp groups of humanitarian volunteers. Thank you, Dr. Mohammed J Shabat. Your struggle will always be an inspiration to us all.
