JAKARTA — On the second day of Ramadan 1445 H, Wednesday (3/13/2024), the collaboration of kindness between Dompet Dhuafa and Astra Financial rolled again. Through the Growing and Sharing Together Program, this activity includes Joint Shopping and Breaking the Fast Together with Orphans & Dhuafa at TransMart Cilandak, a concrete manifestation of joint efforts to share kindness in #RamadanMendekatkan.
The Growing and Sharing Program with Astra Financial through shopping and breaking the fast together with Yatim and Dhuafa is a program initiated by Astra Financial in collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa. It took place in seven cities in Indonesia (Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Medan, Makassar, Bali, and Balikpapan).
The activity began with the symbolic handover of donations in the form of basic food packages at the Astra Financial office, involving 25 orphans and poor children under the auspices of Lembaga Pelayan Masyarakat (LPM) and 5 orphans and poor children from Amaliah Astra, which is under Astra Financial.

Furthermore, the activity continued with shopping together. There the children get a different experience, they are invited to directly visit one of the department stores and get the opportunity to choose and determine the items they need themselves. So, the benefits can be felt directly and maximally, then followed by an iftar session together.
“We would like to thank Dompet Dhuafa, Amaliah Astra. And we from Tumbuh by Astra Financial for this good collaboration, the collaboration with Tumbuh by Astra Financial hopes that the younger siblings know what to prioritize to buy from here friends can learn how to manage finances properly,” said Yulian Warman, as Co-Project Director of Tumbuh by Astra Financial.
“God willing, what we are doing today will provide blessings to the younger siblings and also to us from Dompet Dhuafa, Amaliyah Astra, Tumbuh, and Astra Financial, and will continue to grow in the future,” Yulian added.
This initiative is not only a concrete step to strengthen relationships between agencies, but also to make a positive contribution to those in need. Creating precious moments in the momentum of Ramadan Bringing Us Closer.

Etika Setiawanti as Secretary of the Dompet Dhuafa Foundation Board welcomed the synergy of kindness that was established in this holy month.
“We express our gratitude for the trust given to cooperation in the month of Ramadan, at seven points during the month of Ramadan. Hopefully this program will have a positive impact or benefit to the children. Then they also provide blessings for Astra in particular, more success and more growth,” said Etika.
“We hope that this program or cooperation can run for a long time, so that we can be with these orphans and poor children not only in the month of Ramadan. But, we can give smiles or deliver happiness to them throughout the year until they find their future and goals. We pray that Astra can continue to move in #TumbuhkanKebaikan,” continued Etika.
There, the children met the older siblings who would accompany them on their shopping trip. Cheers of excitement filled the corners of the store. Some visited the Muslim clothing storefront, while others visited the sandals or footwear storefront.
One of them was Ardiansyah (7), a boy who is currently in grade 4 at MI Darussalam, trying on a white koko shirt.
“Today I’m shopping for clothes and pants. Now, this is a koko shirt for Eid because the old one got stained. It can’t be cleaned,” said Ardiansyah while showing his shirt.
“This is a T-shirt, I’m really happy because I bought clothes and break the fast together,” he said while pointing to the yellow T-shirt he had bought. Ardiansyah also admitted that he was very happy because he had been shopping.

Alhamdulillah, the blessings of #RamadanMendekatkan can be felt by Ardiansyah and his friends, according to Yulian, Dompet Dhuafa itself is a trusted and credible institution, always broadcasting goodness with trust.
