DEPOK, WEST JAVA — Haircut Training as a Paradaya Movement Program was again initiated by Dompet Dhuafa through the Institute of Independence (IK) with PT Paragon Corp, and FOZ (Forum Zakat). Taking place at the Institut Kemandirian Satellite Depok Office for 10 days since December 4, 2024, the training was attended by participants from various regions.
This program not only creates new jobs but also encourages local economic growth. The training is designed to provide participants with comprehensive skills, which include hard skills and soft skills. Participants are not only taught professional barbering techniques but also interpersonal skills that support them in the world of work.

Participants took part in technical training in the Institute’s laboratory, which is equipped with complete facilities to support the learning process. Not only that, participants also had the opportunity to do hands-on practice at Kenzi barbershop, which is part of Institut Kemandirian’s cooperation network.
“We want to ensure that participants not only have basic skills but also hands-on experience in the world of work, so that they are ready to face challenges in the barbering industry,” said Tirta Rahayu, Supervisor of Program Development at Institut Kemandirian.
