JORDAN — After sending humanitarian aid from Tunisia to Gaza, Dompet Dhuafa continued to distribute other aid to Palestinian refugees in Jordan. On Wednesday (09/10/2025), the second day of Dompet Dhuafa’s Humanitarian Team’s stay in Jordan, they visited Camp Sukna. This area is home to around 50,000 Palestinian refugees. The aid provided includes ready-to-eat meals, basic ingredients for cooking, and health services through the Mobile Clinic program.
Sukna Camp is home to a diverse group of refugees. Some of them have been living there for more than 16 years, but many have also arrived recently due to the escalation of conflict in Gaza. With difficult access to health services and high costs, the presence of the Mobile Clinic is very meaningful.
“Those who are sick and need treatment have to go to clinics that are quite far away and require significant costs,” said Yeni Purnamasari, GM of Health at Dompet Dhuafa, explaining why this service is so important.

In health services, the team found many complaints from refugees, including upper respiratory tract infections (URTI), chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, and skin disorders. These conditions are triggered by the dense population of the camp, logistical limitations, poor sanitation, and very limited access to health care.
In addition to distributing aid, Dompet Dhuafa also had the opportunity to meet Linda, a 33-year-old mother who managed to escape the Israeli attack on Gaza. She now lives with her husband, mother, and child on the outskirts of Amman, Jordan. Her family’s livelihood depends on the generosity of donors.
