Holding Health Service to Remote Parts of the Country, LKC Banten Helps Improve Health Standards

BANTEN — Located in Kanekes Village, Baduy, Lebak, Dompet Dhuafa Banten’s Layanan Kesehatan Cuma-cuma (LKC) or Free Health Service held a Healthy Service Action on Tuesday (7/2/2023). Collaborating with Sahabat Relawan Indonesia, the activity was held in order to improve the level of health in Indonesia to remote parts of the country.

The Healthy Service Action took place in one of the residents’ houses in Kampung Cijanar and Kampung Ciranji. In there, there are 4 (four) checkpoints, including:

– Post 1: Measurement of nutritional status of infants/toddlers, distribution  of Vitamin A and Deworming,

– Post 2: Health Check for Pregnant Women,

– Post 3: Health Checks of NCDs or General diseases,

– Post 4: Distribution of free medicines to residents who have carried out health checks.

The LKC Medical Team consisted of 1 (one) doctor, 5 (five) medical students, 3 (three) nurses, 3 midwives, 1 pharmacist, and 2 (two) nutritionists. In addition to free examination and treatment, LKC Dompet Dhuafa Banten also provided PMT for children, in the form of 2 boiled eggs as a form of fulfilling animal-based protein nutrition.

A total of 135 Benefit Recipients participated in the medical examination there. Generally, the diseases complained by residents were cough, runny nose, fever, and itching.

“It’s nice, alhamdulillaah, because I can get free treatment. Because of the long distance of the health center, it makes it difficult for me to go there for treatment,” admitted one of the Benefit Recipients. (Dompet Dhuafa / LKC)
