PALEMBANG, SOUTH SUMATRA — The South Sumatra (Sumsel) Branch of Dompet Dhuafa held the 2024 Work Meeting with all staff from various divisions on Sunday—Monday (26—27/11/2023) in Palembang. This meeting was held to evaluate the organization’s performance during 2023 and to formulate strategies for program management and fundraising in 2024.
Through this work meeting, Dompet Dhuafa’s Sumsel Branch outlined strategic steps to enhance the role of amil in the zakat movement in the South Sumatra region.
In the 2023 performance evaluation session, Dompet Dhuafa’s Sumsel Branch highlighted achievements and challenges faced. Steps for improvement and innovation were identified to ensure greater efficiency and effectiveness in the implementation of fundraising programs.
Meanwhile, program management strategy was a main focus of the discussion. Dompet Dhuafa Sumsel discussed various new initiatives to be launched in response to social issues in the community. This includes programs in education, da’wah, economy, social disaster, and health.
“This work meeting is part of Dompet Dhuafa Sumsel‘s efforts to strengthen the role of amil in the zakat movement in the South Sumatra region. Therefore, it is expected that the role of Dompet Dhuafa Sumsel will spread across various districts/cities in Sumsel and its beneficial impact can be felt by the community,” said the Head of Dompet Dhuafa Sumsel Branch, Rizki Asmuni.
In terms of fundraising, this work meeting served as a venue to explore ideas and action plans to enhance collaboration and community participation. Rizki Asmuni emphasized the importance of support from various sectors of society to realize Dompet Dhuafa Sumsel’s humanitarian mission.
