JAKARTA — Although Ramadan 1446 AH has passed, the spirit of sharing and togetherness that grew during the holy month is still felt warmly. One of the memorable moments during last Ramadan came from the Iktikaf Berwakaf (Ikhtikaf for the Purpose of Endowing a Waqf) activity held by Dompet Dhuafa together with the Al-Huda Mosque Islamic Youth (Rismada) on March 21-23, 2025, at the Al-Huda Mosque, Depok, West Java.
This activity is a spiritual forum for congregations of various ages in the Greater Jakarta area to get closer to Allah SWT, as well as to strengthen ukhuwah Islamiyah in the blessed atmosphere of Ramadan.
In the i’tikaf activity, the congregation participates in various religious activities such as Tarawih studies, congregational Tarawih prayers, qiyamullail, and post-Fajr studies. Food services such as snacks and warm drinks, totaling 2600 servings, were also provided through the Mobile Kitchen (Darling) of the Community Service Organization (LPM) Dompet Dhuafa to support the comfort of the congregation during their seclusion.

The high enthusiasm of the congregation made this activity continue until the 27th night of Ramadan 1446 H, which was marked by the provision of 500 free suhoor (pre-dawn meal) portions from the mosque, as well as 800 free snack portions from Dompet Dhuafa and LPM.
The Waqf Iktikaf activity not only strengthens the spiritual side, but also has a real impact. The funds collected during the activity will be distributed through the Dompet Dhuafa Indonesian Remote Mosque Waqf Program. The funds will be used for the construction of the Nurul Huda Mosque in West Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan.
