PULOMAS, EAST JAKARTA —-— Although the Covid-19 pandemic has begun to subside, teaching and learning activities in schools and campuses are still being conducted online, hybrid, or offline at school or campus locations. On Monday (April 25, 2022), Dompet Dhuafa held an event titled “Zakat Day” at TK Islam Tugasku Pulomas, East Jakarta.
As one of the regular activities in the Ramadan Pesantren agenda since previous years, this time TK Islam Tugasku collaborated with Dompet Dhuafa in ‘Zakat Day’ to further strengthen the education of zakat fitrah.
“Every Ramadan, we always involve children from playgroup to kindergarten so that they get used to paying zakat from an early age. They can learn what zakat is, how to intend to pay zakat, and also the wisdom behind paying zakat,” explained Andari, Chair of the 1443 H Ramadan Boarding School Committee at Tugasku Pulomas Islamic Kindergarten.

Thanks to this, Nadiyya Syaima, from the Dompet Dhuafa Retail Fundraising Resources Mobilization Team, expressed her appreciation and gratitude because this Ramadan, teaching and learning activities could finally be carried out face-to-face, especially with the children of Tugasku Pulomas Islamic Kindergarten in a KolaborAksi kebaikan zakat program.
“We are very grateful, and this is the first time Dompet Dhuafa has collaborated with Tugasku Islamic Kindergarten in the month of Ramadan. The children were also very enthusiastic and happy when they paid their zakat fitrah themselves. Hopefully, this collaboration can be #Beneficial and a blessing for all,” said Nadiyya.

“Hopefully, the students of Tugasku Islamic Kindergarten can better understand the meaning of zakat fitrah, as well as its intention and wisdom. In addition, hopefully this collaboration can continue in future charitable activities,” he concluded. (Dompet Dhuafa / Gusti / Dhika)
