KENDARI, NORTH SULAWESI — The head of Dompet Dhuafa Southeast Sulawesi Branch, Hassan Afif, said that his party is working to improve the capacity of teachers in Southeast Sulawesi in providing sustainable benefits by sharing knowledge and developing learning innovations. One of these efforts is being made by Dompet Dhuafa Southeast Sulawesi through the Indonesian Teacher School (SGI) Master Teacher batch 46 program.
“The implementation of the SGI Master Teacher batch 46 program is funded by zakat donations from Dompet Dhuafa donors,” added Hassan during the launch of the SGI Master Teacher batch 46 program at the Sultra Teacher Training Center Auditorium in Kendari City.


The launch of the SGI Master Teacher batch 46 Kendari was attended by representatives from the Southeast Sulawesi Teacher Training Center, the Kendari City Education Office, the Kendari City Ministry of Religious Affairs, PGRI, IGI, and literacy communities in Kendari City.
The Indonesian Teachers’ School (SGI) Master Teacher program is an intensive training and development program for teachers aimed at cultivating prospective SGI activists who align with the five core characteristics of teaching and are capable of fulfilling the 10 leadership principles for teachers.

The objectives of the SGI Master Teacher batch 46 are (1) to improve the teaching and educational skills of elementary school/MI teachers, (2) to make teachers role models of the 10 Values of Teacher Leadership, and (3) to produce education trainers for program sustainability and effectiveness.
The SGI Master Teacher batch 46 was attended by 30 teachers from Kendari City and surrounding areas. The SGI Master Teacher program was conducted offline once a week over a three-month period. (Dompet Dhuafa / North Sulawesi)
