BEKASI —-— Dompet Dhuafa, in collaboration with the Jamie Khairul Amal Mosque, held a Tabligh Akbar and Orphan Assistance event to welcome the holy month of Ramadan on Sunday (February 15, 2026), in Bekasi, West Java. The event also aimed to raise funds that will later be distributed to survivors of the flash floods in Sumatra.
During the event, Dompet Dhuafa provided a free health check-up booth featuring the Free Health Service (LKC). Attendees could get their blood sugar, uric acid, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels checked.
The event featured the nationally renowned preacher Ustaz Muhammad Nur Maulana. Also present at the event were Dompet Dhuafa (DD) General Manager of Fundraising, Yudha Andilla; General Manager of Resource Mobilization (Remo), Ahmad Faqih Syarafaddin; Retail Fundraising Officer, Yayat Ahmad; Head of Lambangsari Village, Pipit Haryanti; and Chairman of the Mosque Prosperity Council (DKM) Sarji.

Sarji, Chairman of the Mosque Prosperity Council (DKM), said that today’s collaboration would also bring joy to 27 orphans in the mosque’s neighborhood. He expressed his appreciation to Dompet Dhuafa for facilitating the event and hoped to continue fostering a good relationship in the future.
During the Tabligh Akbar event, Ustaz Maulana urged everyone to make the most of the month of Ramadan.
“Especially during the holy month of Ramadan, the rewards are multiplied 70-fold,” he said.
Before concluding his sermon, Ustaz Maulana invited the congregation of Masjid Al-Muttaqien to donate to Sumatra via the collection boxes prepared by the committee. Afterward, the congregation also symbolically handed over funds they had collected independently, totaling Rp12,307,000.

Meanwhile, in his remarks, Dompet Dhuafa Fundraising Manager Yudha Andilla expressed his appreciation for the collaboration with the Management Board of Jamie Khairul Amal Mosque.
“Without the cooperation and involvement of all parties, including the Management Board and the residents of Lambangsari Village, this event would not have been possible,” he said.
In his remarks, Yudha introduced the Ramadan theme chosen by Dompet Dhuafa this year, titled “Ramadan Kalcer.” According to Yudha, the theme was selected to make the practice of zakat, infak, sedekah, and wakaf (Ziswaf) a lifestyle.
“We want all generations to make Ziswaf a lifestyle. So, before buying coffee and hanging out, we still give infak and sedekah—we don’t forget,” he explained.

He hopes this collaboration can foster harmony in enhancing both personal and social worship. He cited several verses from the Quran that pair prayer with zakat.
“If we look at the verses of the Quran, the word ‘prayer’ is always accompanied by ‘zakat.’ What does that mean? It means that our connection with God is maintained, and our connection with humanity is put into practice,” he said.
Yudha envisions the function of a mosque as extending beyond mere ritual activities. Rather, it serves as a platform and catalyst for goodness in addressing the community’s challenges. Yudha hopes the mosque can address issues such as children facing hunger and dropping out of school, provide employment opportunities for the community, and empower the poor and needy.
“Are there any who lack food, any facing educational difficulties, or any who haven’t found work yet? Hopefully, this mosque can be a solution to all the community’s problems,” he said.
If the community works together to help one another, he said, the area will minimize crime.

“Hopefully, today’s events will serve as a source of inspiration to do good deeds as we welcome the holy month of Ramadan. May they also help us improve our worship compared to previous years,” concluded Yudha.
