DEPOK, WEST JAVA — The month of Ramadan 1446 Hijri was a valuable moment for Avicenna Cinere Elementary School to instill values of kindness and social care in its students. In collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa, the school held an inspiring event entitled Ramadan Ceria (Cheerful Ramadan) which included Zakat Day, Sharing Palestine, Social Service, Breaking Fast Together, and Educational Games.

Zakat Day is the main agenda in this activity. For several days, precisely on March 18-21, 2025, the students received direct training on how to pay zakat fitrah. Dompet Dhuafa is present as a zakat collector, guiding students in reading the intention and prayer after paying zakat fitrah. This activity aims to instill awareness of the importance of sharing and social responsibility from an early age.

In addition, students also have the opportunity to broaden their horizons about the conditions of their brothers and sisters in Palestine through the Sharing Palestine session. By inviting Sheikh Ibrahim from Palestine as a guest speaker, Dompet Dhuafa encourages children to understand the importance of humanitarian solidarity and to develop a sense of empathy for others.

To add to the excitement and strengthen the understanding of the values of Ramadan goodness, this activity was also enlivened with educational games. These games are designed to hone care, cooperation, and the spirit of sharing among students.

Rini, Principal of Avicenna Cinere Elementary School, expressed her gratitude for the successful collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa.

“Personally, I am very grateful and would like to thank all stakeholders and Dompet Dhuafa for once again providing support for this year’s Ramadan activities so that the activities run smoothly.
