SOUTH TANGERANG — Mimic’s happy and happy faces and smiles radiated from 20 orphans at the LotteMart Bintaro Shopping Center, South Tangerang, Banten, on Monday (8/8/2022). That day was Eid for orphans in Indonesia, which is 10 Muharram 1444 AH. The orphans were deliberately invited by Dompet Dhuafa to LotteMart Bintaro to celebrate Eid with the theme of Muharram Fest.
One of the smiles that was so bright was seen on the lips of Naura Iska Ramadani, a second grade elementary school student who lives in Perigi Village, Pondok Aren District, South Tangerang. The happy look on Naura’s face had always been radiant even since arriving at the shopping location. Compared to her other friends, she looked the smallest. Even so, her activeness and creativity were enormous.
It was very hot on the streets that afternoon, but that did not dampen Naura’s desire to come and shop. Accompanied by older siblings from the Dompet Dhuafa team, she went around almost every corner of the LotteMart shopping center. Starting from looking around the carved objects area, to ending up at the checkout counter.

While holding the shopping cart, she pointed and showed her fingers to indicate her desire to take an item. Assisted by an accompanying sister, Naura approached a stack of cardboard boxes containing shoes. One by one she tried various models and sizes. Naura admitted that the main item she had been eyeing since coming to LotteMart was shoes. According to her, for a long time she had wanted to have good shoes for school. Fortunately, that day her wish finally came true.
“I’m at home with just my mom. I just bought shoes for school and snacks for mom,” she replied eagerly when the Dompet Dhuafa team tried to talk to her.
Naura is active and diligent in giving gifts to her mother, and not only at moments like this. At home, she admits that she likes to help her mother shop at stalls for their daily cooking needs. Her mother, who only works at a laundry, is unable to provide much and support Naura’s potential.

Grateful for the many kind people who care about Naura. Dompet Dhuafa is very supportive of her hobby of playing racket and badminton. With new shoes that Naura has just bought, Dompet Dhuafa donors hope that Naura will play badminton more actively and excel in school.
If her hobby is in the form of sports, her aspirations are different. Naura expresses her admiration for doctors who help heal the sick. She also understands that in order to continue to play badminton, she must always be healthy and fit. So when she grows up, she wants to be a doctor.
Hopefully Naura can continue to pursue her hobby of playing badminton and one day become a doctor who benefits everyone. (Dompet Dhuafa / Muthohar)
