SOUTH TANGERANG — Dompet Dhuafa, together with Gramedia and Supermall Karawaci, brought new enthusiasm to 110 orphans and underprivileged children through a school kit distribution activity to support their learning activities. This joyful event took place at the Supermall Karawaci Atrium on Saturday (October 4, 2025).
Participants enthusiastically joined all activities, from coloring contests and ice-breaking games to the distribution of school kits and financial assistance. In addition to receiving school supplies, the children also had the opportunity to socialize and form new friendships in a joyful atmosphere.

The distribution of these school kits is expected to motivate the recipients to study harder. This initiative is a form of care and compassion from donors, especially Gramedia customers, who participated in the donation program to bring happiness to orphans and the poor.
A similar activity was previously carried out in the first phase in August, and this is the second phase in October.
Gramedia Karawaci Store Manager Kelik Dwi Nugroho explained, “We decided on the theme for these learning packages in June and July, when we were collecting donations from Gramedia customers. Previously, we regularly distributed the Qur’an and reading books, but this time we are trying something new, namely learning kits. We hope that these supplies can help meet the basic school needs of these children and have a positive impact on their enthusiasm for learning.”

Support also came from Supermall Karawaci. Arief Aditya, representative of the Marcomm Department, said, “This activity is very good because it brings happiness to orphans and the poor. May the blessings from this event spread to all those involved. We hope that similar activities can continue to be carried out together with Dompet Dhuafa and other tenants at Supermall Karawaci.”
Meanwhile, Yudha Andhila, Retail Manager of Dompet Dhuafa, also expressed his hopes, “Hopefully, with the distribution of these school supplies, the children can be more enthusiastic about pursuing their education and no longer be burdened by school needs. We also thank Gramedia and Supermall Karawaci for their collaboration and full support in this activity.”

Gratitude also came from one of the participants, Alya (11), from Pamulang, who aspires to become a doctor. She was one of the winners of the coloring competition in the event.
“I am very happy to be able to participate in this event. I hope Dompet Dhuafa, Gramedia, and Supermall Karawaci will always be blessed with good health and be able to help even more people,” said Alya with sparkling eyes.
Now, many orphans and underprivileged children are also experiencing happiness and support to continue their studies despite their limitations. Through Gramedia customers’ donations in the form of school supplies, this event is clear proof that education is the right of every child without exception. (Dompet Dhuafa)
