TULANG BAWANG, LAMPUNG –– Rahmad Riyadi as Chair of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation, represented by the Director of Dompet Dhuafa Medika, Dr. M. Zakaria together with the Regent of Tulang Bawang Hj. Winarti SE., MH. signed an inscription marking the inauguration of the Griya Medika Dompet Dhuafa Hospital, Banjar Agung District, Tulang Bawang Regency, Lampung.
The event began with one of Lampung’s traditional dances, Sigeh Penguten, and ended with the release of balloons by the Regent of Tulang Bawang together with all the invited guests as a symbol of the inauguration of Griya Medika Dompet Dhuafa Hospital.
The event, which took place on Monday (8/8/2022), was attended by the Chair of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation, represented by the Director of DD Medika, Dr. M. Zakaria, the Regent of Tulang Bawang, Hj. Winarti SE., MH. and the Wakif of Griya Medika Hospital, H. Dedi Afrizal S.Kep., Ns,. M.H.
Dr. M. Zakaria explained that Griya Medika Dompet Dhuafa Hospital is here to improve public health in Tulang Bawang. “Griya Medika Dompet Dhuafa Hospital is here and is expected to work with the government to improve public health, especially in Tulang Bawang,” he explained.
In addition, he also hopes that with the establishment of Griya Medika Dompet Dhuafa Hospital, it will be able to increase the community’s insight and knowledge regarding ZISWAF. “In addition to providing health services, Griya Medika Dompet Dhuafa Hospital is also expected to educate the community about the importance of zakat, infaq, sedekah and waqf instruments,” he added.
The Regent of Tulang Bawang, Hj. Winarti SE., MH., expressed her gratitude and appreciation to Dompet Dhuafa for the presence of Griya Medika Dompet Dhuafa Hospital. “I appreciate and thank you for the presence of Griya Medika Dompet Dhuafa Hospital. We continue to work together to develop the Tulang Bawang community through good basic health services,” she said.
Hj. Winarti also hopes that Dompet Dhuafa can work together in developing Tulang Bawang through other programs in Dompet Dhuafa. Griya Medika Hospital Dompet Dhuafa itself is the 7th hospital successfully built by Dompet Dhuafa based on waqf. This is one of the efforts to improve community services in the health sector, especially for the people of Tulang Bawang.
In addition to the inauguration of Griya Medika Dompet Dhuafa Hospital, this activity also held donations for orphans in the Banjar Agung District, Tulang Bawang Regency, as part of the distribution of social programs for the surrounding community. Hopefully, with the establishment of Griya Medika Dompet Dhuafa Hospital, it will be able to provide a broad impact on the community, especially in the health sector.
