Regarding the abduction of the Indonesian delegation of the Global Peace Convoy during the humanitarian mission Global Sumud Flotilla 2.0 by the Israeli Zionist army, specifically targeting two delegates from Dompet Dhuafa, namely Herman Budianto and Ronggo Wirasanu:
- We strongly condemn these actions. These actions contradict the principles of human rights and violate international law.
- The Global Sumud Flotilla 2.0 mission is a purely humanitarian mission aimed at delivering humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza. Therefore, the actions taken by the Israeli Zionist army constitute a violation of the values of humanity and justice that should be upheld and protected by the international community.
- We hope that all Indonesian delegates can be released immediately and returned home safely. To that end, we urge the Indonesian government and relevant agencies to take the necessary steps to facilitate the release and return of the Indonesian delegates to their homeland.
- We hope the Indonesian public will continue to support the Palestinian people’s struggle, both in humanitarian efforts and in the distribution of humanitarian aid to Palestinians.
