JAKARTA – The Rain, a band from Yogyakarta that has been active in the Indonesian music scene for 20 years, also enlivened the Jakarta Humanity Festival (Jakhumfest) 2023 at Pos Bloc, Jakarta on Sunday (29/1/2023). The Rain became the ultimate band to close the Jakhumfest 2023 series of events.

The audience’s enthusiasm was evident when The Rain’s vocalist, Indra Prasta began to sing. To the point, the vocalist’s voice was drowned out by the boisterous voices of the audience. Throughout the concert, five songs were played by The Rain, ranging from low-tempo to upbeat songs.

For The Rain, this is the first experience of being a filler band at the Jakhumfest Dompet Dhuafa event. The Rain personnel also said they were proud to be part of Jakhumfest, which previously could only be seen through social media.

“This is the first time The Rain has participated in Jakhumfest. We have heard several times and seen posts from our friends who have performed here, and today we are proud to be part of Jakhumfest 2023,” said Indra Prasta, vocalist of The Rain, when interviewed.

Jakhumfest 2023, according to The Rain, is a good event that needs to continue because there are various positive activities and workshops on creativity, mental health, humanity, and disaster preparedness here. These positive vibes make them interested in inviting their families to enjoy the Jakhumfest 2023 event at the Bloc Post.

“The event is fascinating because there are various activities. We have been at the Bloc Post since last afternoon, traveling around to see the exhibition until we also bring our families, wives, and children.”

“In our opinion, the event is excellent to enjoy with family and meet friends. Not only having fun and singing together at Jakhumfest, we also get a lot of new things,” said Indra Prasta.

The Rain also thanked Dompet Dhuafa for organizing the Jakarta Humanity Festival 2023, which also educates the public to get to know the world of humanity. In addition, The Rain invites the public to channel good funds through Dompet Dhuafa because they have experienced how Dompet Dhuafa is mandated to distribute it to people who need it.

“Through this event, friends who watched, friends from friends who watched, so they know more and more that we can donate through Dompet Dhuafa, and it is distributed for disaster, education, and others.”

“We are calm because our friends from Dompet Dhuafa are very trustworthy. Long before this, we also participated in donating through Dompet Dhuafa. Thank you for Dompet Dhuafa,” said Indra.

In the future, The Rain hopes that Jakhumfest Dompet Dhuafa will continue to be held every year so that the good messages in this event can continue to echo and reach the wider community.

“Once again, thank you to friends from Dompet Dhuafa and friends from DDTV who have made this event. Hopefully, the good message from this event will continue to be conveyed well,” said Indra Prasta.

“Hopefully, this event can be made an annual ritual. Now it is crowded and diversely presented at Jakhumfest; maybe later it can be even more crowded with other stands,” added Aang Anggoro. (Dompet Dhuafa/Ronna)
