JAKARTA —-— An act of compassion and humanity came from the Timuran Jaksel community, together with Arteri Media and Nadi Creative, an arts and culture community focused on empowering young people and creative activities in South Jakarta. Timuran Jaksel handed over a donation to Dompet Dhuafa on Wednesday (12/17/2025) at the Dompet Dhuafa Philanthropy building in South Jakarta.
The donation was the result of a fundraising campaign that raised Rp32 million through the “Special Charity: Fundraising for Sumatra” event on December 1, 2025, which took place on their Instagram account. In addition, they also held a series of art events and solidarity concerts that were frequently held throughout the end of 2025. The donation was then handed over to Dompet Dhuafa as a humanitarian aid distribution partner.
Dompet Dhuafa data continues to show that public concern for victims affected by hydrometeorological disasters in Sumatra has continued to flow since the flash floods and landslides that hit Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra at the end of November 2025. The latest data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) shows that as of early January 2026, more than 1,100 people have died and hundreds of thousands of residents have been displaced, while damage to homes and public facilities is still in the process of being repaired.
