JAKARTA — During Ramadan, Dompet Dhuafa collaborates with various school partners to hold Ramadan Ceria. This event became a collaborAction of educational actions for children to pay for zakat, infaq, and alms. One of which, Dompet Dhuafa collaborated with SD Adik Irma (elementary school) to organize Ramadan Ceria on Monday (17/4/23) & Tuesday (18/4/23) which took place in Tebet, South Jakarta.
The series of Zakat Day activities itself consists of cheerful fairy tales, storytelling, and sharing. Zakat Day activities held at schools are expected to be able to educate children about zakat and how to fulfill it. Especially zakat al-fitr in Ramadan.
“Alhamdulillah, the Zakat Day event, and Sanlat filled by Kak Nia from the first day to the last day by Kak Adip with the motivational story went smoothly, the children were very happy when participating in the activities,” said Neng Nadiyya Syaima as School Network Fundraising Officer.

Furthermore, Raihana as a Religion Teacher and Homeroom Teacher at SD Adik Irma said that this activity was not the first time for Sekolah Adik Irma to collaborate with Dompet Dhuafa.
“Sekolah Adik Irma has activities for religion. Well, previously we also have worked with Dompet Dhuafa. We also have a routine program to channel children’s trust, one of which is through this Ramadan Ceria. Alhamdulilah it can be held up to twice a year at once, motivating children to share and can also increase their religious activities, considering that our school is a public school. Alhamdulillah, this cooperation was achieved,” explained Hana.
Through this activity as well, SD Adik Irma managed to collect donations which were then distributed directly to Yayasan Panti Asuhan An Nur (orphanage foundation) with the amount of donations collected reaching Rp10,000,000.00 (ten million rupiah). Representatives of the Management of Yayasan Panti Asuhan An Nur Kebagusan and the orphans present also expressed their gratitude.
“Alhamdulillah jazakumullah khairan for the assistance of infaq, zakat, alms delivered to the foundation. We are also very moved and proud of this sekolah Adik Irma. Of course this is caused by the guidance of teachers who have good and noble intentions, to give awareness of sharing to those who really need it,” she said.
“Alhamdulilah, yesterday friends collected their charity savings for orphans. Today also attended by orphans from Yayasan Kebagusan. We thank the children (students), stakeholders, and teachers who have trusted us to distribute gifts to orphans. Hopefully the results of friends’ charity can become a blessing,” said Neng Nadiyya.
The donations collected, according to Hana, came from the Sedekah Jumat Berkah (Blessed Friday Alms) held by the school.
“Every Friday the children have a Jumat Berkah activity, because we regularly show the collected money and where we donate it, alhamdulillah they are motivated to share. ‘Ma’am, does it mean our money is used, right, ma’am? We got a lot, didn’t we, ma’am?” (children say),” Hana explained.
“We used to visit the orphans, but recently we just called them and so many people see it and many people are motivated,” Hana added.

Derren, a 4th-grader student of SD Adik Irma who participated in this activity, admitted that he was happy.
“It’s nice that there was a Zakat Day event and there was a fairytale. I also cried because of Kak Adip’s story,” said Derren.
Furthermore, Neng Nadiyya also expressed her hopes regarding this collaboration.
“Hopefully this collaboration doesn’t last only now, but we can also collaborate well in the next activity and so on. Hopefully this time Ramadan activity will certainly be given blessings that can be useful, and have a good impact on the children of SD Adik Irma,” concluded Neng Nadiyya. (Dompet Dhuafa/Awalia R)
