JAKARTA — “Do you want to buy toys too?” asked Rizky (10) to Dompet Dhuafa volunteers, while pointing to a toy he wanted during the Bareng Yatim and Dhuafa Shopping at Plaza Blok M, South Jakarta on Thursday (4/4/2024).
“I want to buy it for my brother too, because when you shop, you always buy it for me too,” admitted the 4th grade elementary school student, remembering his brother’s kindness.

Yes, Rizky suddenly remembered his brother in the opportunity he got. In the midst of the moment of Shopping Together with Orphans and Dhuafa that afternoon, Rizky wanted to help make his brother happy, who also liked to help assemble toys with him.
Accompanying Rizky to shop, Dian Sukma, a Dompet Dhuafa volunteer, was moved to hear Rizky’s confession.
“I really didn’t expect it, Rizky, who got this shopping opportunity, suddenly remembered his brother’s kindness. He (Rizky) wanted to buy toys too so he could repay his brother’s kindness and play with him. Finally, I helped him choose a toy with a price that matches the nominal value of his Eid shopping gift,” said Dian Sukma.
“Oh yes, Rizky is a very outgoing and fun child. I also learnt some lessons and inspiration from Rizky’s sister during this Ramadan Closer moment,” she added.

“Many orphans today come with great happiness. Shopping for new clothes, then breaking the fast together at Plaza Blok M which may be things that they rarely experience. Of course in this month of Ramadan there is glory when we share because every kindness we do will be rewarded many times over. Therefore, this is an inspiration for all of us to continue to share, do good and don’t get tired of spreading benefits,” explained Dian Sukma. (Dompet Dhuafa)
