PANDEGLANG, BANTEN – Dompet Dhuafa and PT Mount Scopus Indonesia (The Harvest) held the inauguration of the renovation of the MI Darul Ilmi Cikalong school building located in Cikalong Village, Cibitung District, Pandeglang Regency, Banten, on Tuesday (7/2/2023).
Highlighting the number of uninhabitable schools in the Banten area, especially Pandeglang and Lebak, The Harvest handed over assistance through Dompet Dhuafa, which cares about the educational development of the nation’s children, by renovating uninhabitable schools. On this occasion, The Harvest renovated 3 schools located in Banten and Yogyakarta.
The charity, which began in the month of Ramadan in 2022, is in the form of cutting part of the profits from purchasing products at each The Harvest outlet. Alhamdulillah, the collected proceeds amounted to Rp278,882,000, – which was also distributed for the renovation of 2 other schools, MI Muhammadiyah Blembem, Yogyakarta, as well as the distribution of school kits, and MI Ma’Arif Garongan Yogyakarta.

“We donate part of our revenue turnover during Ramadan to Eid, we set aside and invite our buyers to come directly participate in this noble activity,” said Yehuda Patrick, Marketing Manager of The Harvest Group to Dompet Dhuafa.
At the inauguration, guests who attended were greeted with Lengser art and Sundanese culture. The launching event was carried out symbolically with a ribbon cutting carried out by Linda Hendra, Head of Marketing of PT Mount Scopus Indonesia, Dian Yuni Lestari Head of HR and GA PT. Mount Scopus Indonesia, Ahmad Faqih Syarafadin, GM Resources Mobilization ZIS Dompet Dhuafa, Mochlas Pidono, Branch Leader of Dompet Dhuafa Banten, Ahmad Haetami, Deputy Head of Cikalong Village and Haerudin Head of Madrasah MI Darul Ilmi Cikalong. Students, parents and representatives of the local community also attended the inauguration.
Haerudin as the Head of Madrasah MI Darul Ilmi Cikalong, thanked and appreciated the contribution of PT Mount Scopus Indonesia in renovating the building. Haerudin also recounted the state of the previous school, children attending school with roofs that had begun to fall, broken floors and tables that were unsuitable for use.
“We would like to thank the donors from The Harvest and Dompet Dhuafa teams for giving this MI building from the beginning to the inauguration, we received it with a spacious chest and are happy for sure. Last year it could be said that it was not suitable for use, but now Alhamdulillah,” said Haerudin.

In addition to renovating 3 classrooms that can now be used comfortably, the assistance provided by PT Mount Scopus Indonesia was also allocated for the construction of the MCK, previously, students and teachers carried out activities such as throwing water through a river that flows near the school.
The donors who attended were also invited to go around (School Tour) to see the results of the renovation of the building and MCK. It is hoped that this program will be a pioneer for business people in the Baked Goods category to take part in advancing Indonesian education.
“This is a very noble program, yes, advancing the education of the nation’s children, of course, the hope is not only us, The Harvest, but business people in the Baked Goods category are also moved, we start hopefully to become the first torch to invite other business people, friends of other business people to advance the education of the nation’s children. Because we also need good human resources, but how can we have good human resources if we ignore education,” added Patrick.
