JAWA BARAT — In anticipation of the 2025 Eid homecoming exodus, Dompet Dhuafa is once again presenting the Family-Friendly Homecoming Post Program at two strategic points, namely at Taman Cirebon Power, Kanci Kulon Village, Astanajapura District, Cirebon Regency, and at the Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Rambutan Village, Ciracas District, East Jakarta.
This homecoming post will operate for five days, from Tuesday to Saturday (25-29/03/2025), to provide various free services for travelers. Facilities provided include therapeutic massages, rest tents, haircuts, children’s playgrounds, lactation corners, motorbike services, medical services, and iftar and suhoor meals. With these facilities, it is hoped that travelers can rest comfortably so that their journey remains safe and smooth.
Eka Suwandi, DMC Manager of Dompet Dhuafa, said that the presence of this homecoming post is a form of Dompet Dhuafa’s concern for the safety and comfort of travelers, especially for families with small children or the elderly.
“Every year, we carry the theme of Family-Friendly Homecoming Post to ensure that travelers get comfortable and useful services during their trip,” he said.

According to a survey released by the Transportation Policy Agency (BKT) of the Ministry of Transportation, the potential for community movement during the 2025 Eid period is estimated at 146.48 million people, or around 52% of the total Indonesian population. The peak of homecoming is predicted to occur on the third day before Eid, March 28, 2025, with the movement of around 12.1 million people. Meanwhile, the peak of the return flow is estimated to fall on the fifth day after Eid, or April 6, 2025, with the number of travelers reaching 31.49 million people.
In terms of travel distribution, West Java is the most common area of origin with 30.9 million people (21.1%), followed by East Java (26.4 million people or 18%), and Central Java (23.3 million people or 15.9%). Meanwhile, the most popular travel destinations were Central Java (36.6 million people or 25%), East Java (27.4 million people or 18.7%), and West Java (22.1 million people or 15.1%).
In terms of mode of transportation, private cars are the public’s top choice with an estimated 33.69 million users (23%). Followed by buses (24.76 million people or 16.9%), intercity trains (23.58 million people or 16.1%), airplanes (19.77 million people or 13.5%), and motorbikes (12.74 million people or 8.7%).


With the large number of travelers every year, it is important for the public to maintain safety on the road. Dompet Dhuafa hopes that the Family-Friendly Homecoming Post can be a comfortable and safe resting place for travelers before they continue their journey to their hometowns.
Apart from providing various facilities for travelers, Dompet Dhuafa also collaborates with medical personnel and volunteers who are ready to provide assistance to travelers in need. Some of the health services provided include free blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks, and health consultations. The presence of these medical personnel is expected to help travelers maintain their physical condition during long journeys.
