Samudera Indonesia Peduli Donates A Waqf of New Pharmacy Room RST Dompet Dhuafa

BOGOR, WEST JAVA – Dompet Dhuafa together with Samudera Indonesia Peduli inaugurated a new pharmacy room at Rumah Sehat Terpadu (RST) Hospital Dompet Dhuafa, Kemang, Bogor on Wednesday (25/01/2023). The pharmacy room is a form of productive waqf implementation of Samudera Indonesia Peduli CSR program which concerns health.

The Director of Medical Services of RST, drg. Rima Febrianti MARS, MH, CPHR, FISQua said that the existence of the pharmacy room helped optimize health services for patients. At least, as of 2022 RST has served 176,671 prescription drugs.

The pharmacy room is an important component in the hospital ecosystem so that health services can operate comprehensively. The existence of pharmacy installations serves for drug management, starting from planning, procurement, storage, preparation, compounding to direct service to patients.

“The principle of pharmaceuticals is to compound the right medicine. The existence of this new pharmacy room is expected to help, especially in drug services,” said drg. Rima.

Previously, Samudera Indonesia had also donated waqf of medical devices in the form of mobile X-rays and ventilators to support health service facilities in that waqf-based hospital during the pandemic.

Director of BDLM & Waqf Development of Dompet Dhuafa, Ustaz Ahmad Shon Haji added, RST located in the Madina Zone area is a form of productive waqf portfolio managed by Dompet Dhuafa. For this reason, he hopes that the kindness given by Samudera Indonesia Peduli to RST can be maintained because it can give blessings.

Also present on this occasion, the Director of Medical Services of RST drg. Rima Febrianti, MARS, CPHR, FISQua; Director of BDLM & Waqf Development of Dompet Dhuafa, Ahmad Shonhaji; Treasurer of the Samudera Indonesia Education Foundation, Ebi Junaedi; Chairman of the Samudera Indonesia Peduli foundation, Asril Basri; and Secretary General of the Samudera Indonesia Education Foundation, Nadya Anette.

“The role of Dompet Dhuafa here is as the media to channel and multiply the goodness of the donors’ merits because there are rewards that continue to flow,” said Ahmad Shonhaji.

At the inauguration, Ebi Junaedi as treasurer of the Samudera Indonesia Education Foundation said that the waqf of this pharmaceutical building was a good start. According to him, waqf is important but still needs to be developed, such as increasing literacy and understanding of waqf.

“Hopefully this (waqf) will not be the first and last. Literature of waqf still needs to be developed. Hopefully we’ll get back to a good place as well,” he concluded. (Dompet Dhuafa/RST/Dhika)
