BOGOR, WEST JAVA – Dompet Dhuafa received a visit from PT Samudera Indonesia to one of Dompet Dhuafa’s waqf assets, namely Rumah Sakit Rumah Sehat Terpadu (RS RST) Dompet Dhuafa (Dompet Dhuafa’s Integrated Healthy Hospital or RST Hospital) on Thursday (22/12/2022). RST Hospital is a pilot project of Dompet Dhuafa through zakat and waqf instruments to provide health services for the dhuafa society. It is known that until now, Dompet Dhuafa has managed seven waqf-based hospitals spread across various provinces in Indonesia.
Previously, PT Samudera Indonesia had donated waqf worth IDR 1.5 billion to Dompet Dhuafa in the form of medical devices and additional facilities in the pharmacy room for Bogor RST Hospital, as well as medical devices for AKA Sribawono Hospital, Lampung. Alhamdulillah, until now the medical devices has helped many dhuafa patients in need to provide adequate health services.

Director of RST Hospital as well as the network manager of Dompet Dhuafa’s hospitals, dr. Zakaria explained that RST was a growing hospital. RST’s journey to get to this point certainly went through various challenges. According to him, in alleviating health problems, collaboration with various parties who care about health was needed.
“Like Samudera Indonesia which is concerned about health problems. Thank you for helping through waqf donations in the form of medical devices and visiting this waqf-based hospital,” he said.

The waqf of medical devices received by Dompet Dhuafa from PT Samudera Indonesia through the Samudera Peduli Foundation has provided extensive benefits for patients.
“This hospital is dedicated to the dhuafa people. The assistance in the form of critical care equipment donated by Samudera Indonesia to this hospital is very helpful. Especially when the pandemic is spreading rapidly,” he said.

General Manager of Fundraising Waqf of Dompet Dhuafa, Bobby Manullang expressed his gratitude for the collaboration between PT Samudera Indonesia and Dompet Dhuafa through waqf instruments in dealing with health problems.
“Alhamdulillah, PT Samudera Indonesia becomes a part of this chain of kindness. We are honored, Samudera Indonesia’s contribution was playing an important role during the previous Covid period through the donation of waqf medical devices,” he said.

Samudera Peduli Program Manager, Rismeita Fitri Setiyanti was also present at the visit. She also expressed her gratitude because the waqf donation managed by Dompet Dhuafa had been realized and had been functioning properly and it had also been providing benefits to patients at RST.
“Hopefully, at the beginning of the year, we can hand it over. Aamiin,” she said.
Rismeita also assessed that the health facilities and services at RST were very good, not inferior to other hospitals.
“We are currently aspiring to build clinics or health services in remote areas. Hopefully Dompet Dhuafa can provide references and collaborate again,” she said.
