JAKARTA —-— The growing sense of caring for others, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, has had a positive impact on communities in need and inspired many parties to do the same. This was exemplified by one of Jakarta’s leading shopping centers, Senayan City, on Wednesday (April 27, 2022), which donated food packages to the poor, the elderly, and orphans.
The donation was symbolically handed over at Masjid Al Makmur, Senayan City, Tanah Abang District, South Jakarta, through Dompet Dhuafa. A total of 55 food packages were distributed to several groups of beneficiaries, including 47 packages for the poor and the elderly, and 8 (eight) others were given to orphaned children from poor families who are under the care of the Al Makmur Mosque Senayan City Management Board.
“We are grateful to all parties involved in this good deed. Perhaps what we are doing is an effort to receive blessings and ease the burden of the needy around us. We would also like to thank Dompet Dhuafa for helping to make this activity a success and distributing donations to the right targets,” said Ahmad Syafei, Head of the Al Makmur Senayan City Mosque Management Board.
This is a form of collaborative kindness carried out by the management of Senayan City together with Dompet Dhuafa in seeking blessings during this holy month of Ramadan. Additionally, this activity is also a form of concern for the beneficiaries who come from the surrounding area of Senayan City, namely Gelora Village, Tanah Abang Subdistrict, South Jakarta.

Hopefully, this will be a blessing for all of us in this blessed month by distributing basic food supplies, which are certainly in high demand by the community these days due to high prices. May this serve as a good example for all of us to initiate other acts of kindness,” said Ahmad Faqih Syarafaddin, General Manager of Zakat, Infak, and Sedekah (ZIS) Fundraising at Dompet Dhuafa.
Senayan City and Dompet Dhuafa are not only collaborating in the distribution of food packages, but this kindness can also be seen from the presence of the Dompet Dhuafa service counter in the middle of the bustling Senayan City. This is an integral part of the collaboration between Senayan City and Dompet Dhuafa to provide good services to visitors.
“Our collaboration with Senayan City does not stop here. Another form of kindness that has been produced is the presence of our counter at Senayan City. We strive to serve visitors with premium service,” continued Faqih.
This counter service will be ready to provide various donation and ziswaf services to all visitors from April 25 to May 1, 2022. Various conveniences are offered at the Dompet Dhuafa counter at Senayan City. In addition to serving with cash, Dompet Dhuafa also provides various payment methods through non-cash and other digital currencies.
May the various collaborations initiated by Senayan City and Dompet Dhuafa, ranging from donating food packages to people in need and orphans to establishing Dompet Dhuafa counter services, trigger other acts of kindness.
