JAKARTA —-— The Indonesian Senior Golfers Association (PERPESI) officially handed over a donation worth IDR 103 million to Dompet Dhuafa on Tuesday (12/23/2025) at the Perpesi Secretariat, Pondok Indah, South Jakarta. The donation was intended for survivors of floods and landslides that hit the regions of Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
The hydro-meteorological disasters that occurred from late November to December 2025 have had a widespread and profound impact. Based on the latest data released by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the number of fatalities due to floods and landslides in the three provinces has reached more than 1,180, with 145 people missing, thousands injured, and hundreds of thousands of homes damaged, directly affecting millions of people. On this occasion, Herry Kusnanto as Advisor to PERPESI Jakarta, Syaiful Zein as Chair of PERPESI Jakarta, Rubiyadi as Secretary of PERPESI Jakarta, Taufiq A and Pak Yanto A as Administrators of PERPESI Jakarta were also present. PERPESI then reaffirmed its commitment to help alleviate the burden on disaster victims through collaboration with philanthropic institutions that have extensive distribution networks in the affected areas.

Even from a distance, Syaiful Zein, Chairman of PERPESI Jakarta, admits that the social and economic impacts are still being felt today. Therefore, he and his organization need to participate in helping the survivors who have been affected.
“As an organization that brings together senior golfers from all over Indonesia, we are now trying to share and provide assistance from members in the Jakarta Province to be donated to our people who have been affected by the floods in Sumatra, particularly in West Sumatra, North Sumatra, and Aceh. We see that so many of our people have died there. So, in this case, we, the Jakarta Perpesi management, are also trying to mobilize and invite our friends from the Jakarta Perpesi members to share for this cause,” he said.

Syaiful also added his hope that Dompet Dhuafa can immediately distribute aid to the right targets and that its volunteers are given convenience and good health.
“On this occasion, we have been able to collect funds from all members of the Jakarta Province amounting to IDR 103 million. Hopefully, Dompet Dhuafa will always be given smooth distribution,” he said.



Yudha Andilla, Retail Fundraising Manager of ZIS (Zakat, Infak, Sedekah) Dompet Dhuafa, said that as a distribution partner, Dompet Dhuafa will allocate the aid for urgent needs in the affected areas, including the provision of food, clean water, health services, and psychosocial support for survivors.
“We are very grateful for the trust given by PERPESI to distribute these donations to people in need. Cross-sector cooperation like this is very meaningful in accelerating the recovery process and fulfilling the basic needs of disaster victims,” he said.
On this occasion, Syaiful Zein said that his party sees that Dompet Dhuafa has gained the trust and confidence of the community. As a result, over time, many people have provided assistance through Dompet Dhuafa.

He also sees that the cooperation between Dompet Dhuafa and large institutions or companies in Indonesia is very good. He offered his prayers that Dompet Dhuafa can continue to improve in maintaining its trust and transparency.
