YOGYAKARTA – As a form of the spirit of sharing and social care in the holy month of Ramadan, while welcoming the time to break the fast, Dompet Dhuafa Yogyakarta together with the BTS fan community, BTS Army Yogyakarta, held the Tebar Takjil action in the iconic Tugu Yogyakarta intersection, Monday (12/03/2025). This activity aims to help people who are fasting by distributing 150 takjil packages to road users, including motorcyclists, car drivers, and pedestrians who pass through the area before breaking the fast.
This social action took place with great enthusiasm and cheerfulness from the volunteers who are members of Dompet Dhuafa Yogyakarta and BTS Army Yogyakarta. They swiftly walked through the Tugu Yogyakarta area, distributing takjil packages to people in need, especially those who were still on the road when the Maghrib call to prayer came. With the distribution at strategic points, motorists can easily receive iftar meals without having to get off their vehicles.

Imam Hidayat, as the person in charge of Dompet Dhuafa Yogyakarta, said that this collaboration is a tangible form of the spirit of togetherness that must be maintained, especially in this blessed month. According to him, this is a tangible manifestation of the values of care and kindness in the month of Ramadan.
“The collaboration between BTS Army Yogyakarta and Dompet Dhuafa Yogyakarta in Tebar Takjil is something that is needed to show that the month of Ramadan is a month of mercy full of love. Collaboration continues to be needed to strengthen each other in spreading kindness to the community,” said Imam.
Meanwhile, Teca, a representative of BTS Army Yogyakarta, revealed that this was not the first time this activity had been carried out and had become their community’s annual agenda since 2024. According to him, social actions like this are not just about sharing food, but also about instilling the value of caring to the wider community.
“This takjil sharing event not only aims to help the community or road users who are fasting, but also to raise awareness of others. We hope this activity can continue and provide wider benefits,” said Teca.

In addition to being welcomed by the communities involved, the Tebar Takjil activity also received a positive response from the community and road users who received takjil packages. Many of them expressed their gratitude for this noble action, especially for those who did not have time to buy iftar food in the midst of their busy schedules or long trips.
Social actions like this are expected to spark other communities to contribute to various good deeds during Ramadan and outside the holy month. With more and more sharing movements being carried out, it is hoped that the spirit of solidarity and social care in the community will be stronger and more sustainable.
