JAKARTA – Two days before its 32nd anniversary, Dompet Dhuafa is intensifying its efforts to spread benefits across the archipelago. Under the theme “Dompet Dhuafa Goes Communal Industry,” the series of events leading up to the anniversary on July 2, 2025, are diverse.
One of these initiatives comes from the Free Health Services (LKC) of Dompet Dhuafa, which is organizing a simultaneous Blood Donation Drive (Gedor) on Monday, June 30, 2025, across 14 provinces in Indonesia. These provinces include Aceh, South Sumatra, West Sumatra, Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, East Java, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, and Papua.

High enthusiasm was evident among Dompet Dhuafa staff and the general public. At one of the Gedor locations, the Philanthropy Building in South Jakarta, which serves as the headquarters of Dompet Dhuafa, staff began queuing as early as 10:00 AM.
One of the Gedor coordinators, who is also a member of the Health Emergency Response Team (RDK) of LKC Dompet Dhuafa, Fakhri Ramadhan, stated that the target for blood donors is 32,000 registrants from across Indonesia.
In addition to marking the 32nd anniversary of Dompet Dhuafa, Fakhri added that this event can also serve as an educational and awareness-raising platform about the benefits of blood donation.
From the positive health impacts to its blessings.
“May the blood donated today through this Gedor event be of benefit to those in need. May Dompet Dhuafa continue to thrive in its 32nd year,” said Fakhri.

Luthfah Mutiara Tsany—a Dompet Dhuafa volunteer who successfully donated blood that day—said she felt a special kind of happiness. According to Mutia, sharing isn’t just about material things, but about the intention to help those in need.
“Alhamdulillah, today was my first time donating blood. There’s a special kind of happiness knowing that one unit of blood can save someone else’s life. So, there’s a message here: sharing isn’t about giving big things, but about the willingness to care. Today, I chose to donate blood, insyaallah it will be beneficial,” she said joyfully.
The joy didn’t stop there. Dompet Dhuafa volunteers across Indonesia also celebrated the anniversary with free health check-ups and cleanup campaigns in their respective cities.

On the upcoming Tuesday (July 1, 2025), a public discussion will be held at the Sasana Budaya Hall, Philanthropy Building, and the 32nd Anniversary Celebration of Dompet Dhuafa at Al-Syukro Universal Islamic School in Tangerang Selatan, Banten on Wednesday (July 2, 2025).
As part of the anniversary celebrations, there will also be a book launch featuring the works of Andi Makmur Makka—a writer and journalist who is also a member of the Dompet Dhuafa Advisory Board—on Friday (July 4, 2025).
May this series of events leading up to Dompet Dhuafa’s anniversary serve as a reminder to all Dompet Dhuafa members to spread goodness through zakat, contributing to the empowerment of communities in need. (Dompet Dhuafa).
