Sineklopedia 2026, DDV Encourages Children to Protect Nature Through Edutainment Films

JAKARTA —-— Dompet Dhuafa Volunteer (DDV) encourages children to preserve nature through film. This time, through Sineklopedia 2026, DDV invites orphaned and underprivileged children in various regions of Indonesia to watch the film Teman Tegar Maira: Whisper from Papua directed by Anggi Frisca.

According to Ika Akmala, a representative of Dompet Dhuafa Volunteer, after attending the premiere of the film “Teman Tegar Maira: Whisper from Papua” in South Jakarta on Tuesday (January 27, 2026), the film aligns with DDV’s commitment to children’s issues and environmental concerns.

“This film encapsulates the values that DDV has been advocating for,” said Ika.

The film is full of educational and social messages, highlighting local stories, environmental conservation, and inspiration for Indonesian children to care for nature and culture.

The film stars young actress Elisabet Sisauta (Maira) from Papua, M Aldifi Tegarajasa (Tegar), and singer Joanita Chatarine (Teh Ise). According to the plan, the film will be released simultaneously in theaters throughout Indonesia starting February 5, 2026.
